Hostal Regina Centro Historico Ciudad de Mexico

I loved my 6 day stay here! The staff is super friendly and helpful and speak English and Spanish. Great central location. My private room had a great bathroom and 3 beautiful balconies! Morning breakfasts are very light but good enough. Loved the cafe de olla! This place really felt like home.

I went to the restaurant in the ground floor. I ate pizza, it was ok-good, had some mojitos and wine. The menu only showed red wine, but I asked and they had an excellent cheap german white wine, so, if you don't see something on the menu, I recommend you to ask. They have tables on the street, there you can't talk loudly; inside, the place is really quiet, everybody talks in a whisper.

The staff at Hostal Regina were so kind and welcoming. Haru, Monserrat, and Evan made us feel at home and we really enjoyed chatting with them during our stay. Our private room was clean and comfortable and the shared bathrooms were were well taken care of daily. Great vibe at the hostel with music until late on the weekends and amazing art and decor throughout. Delicious cafe de la olla in the mornings; so nice to have breakfast taken care of. Very close to the Zocallo and lots of delicious food options nearby. Would return again!

I stayed a total of 5 days here and it is really great place to stay if you are looking for budget friendly accommodation.

This is an amazing Hostal. In the heart of the historic district. It is a courtyard design, with two attached restaurants (Sushi and Pizza/Mexican), a coffee bar and a roof deck. The staff is excellent, ensuring all your needs are met. Stayed in a single bed (verses bunk bed) in a room with 4 beds. They do an excellent job distributing guests so that you have as much privacy as possible given occupancy. Breakfast included! Hot cakes, fresh fruit, delicious Mexican coffee (photo). They offer guided tours. The age range is well dispersed. There was a free Margarita night while I was there. If you are social and open to sharing space, I don't know why you would stay anywhere else. 🙏❤

They have free dinner and drink nights so that the people in the hostal can get to know each other. There is a DJ on the roof top on the weekends playing amazing music 😄🎶

The location is a 2 minute walk to the metro station. It is close to many attractions. Just amazing 😍

They also have tours which I wish I did but oh well, next time!
The room is nice because you have more space to live in and it feels more like a hotel room rather than dorms. I only shared the room with 1-2 girls and it felt like I had the room to myself. Everything was clean and taken care of regularly. Of course you are staying in the center of the city so expect some noise at night during weekends, but you just need some earplugs.

I loved staying here. This is what all hostels should be like - a mix of love, friendly vibe, fun, arts and catering for people on a budget. Fantastic facilities and I wish I could stay longer! Definitely consider staying here when in CDMX. You won’t regret it.

This is my favourite place where we stayed in Mexico!!! First of all: the staff is amazing! Everyone is so nice and always ready to help. I also fell in love with the interior design, it's so beautiful and unique! Free breakfasts are quite small, but still delicious, and I also enjoyed the coffee they offered. We lived in a two-storey room and it was amazing as well. The bed was huge, bathrooms were clean, the balcony view was stunning. Note (!) that it can be very noisy during nights because of the cafes and bars in the street, so I recommend having ear plugs with you. However, I had no problems with sleeping, because I was extremely tired every day :). Apart from that, the hostel is great! Will 100% stay here again if I ever come back to Mexico city.

Great hostal located right in the historical city center with most of Mexico's monuments and nice neighborhoods close by. Safe and cosy place, great decoration, hygiene and service from the staff. Went again after my first stay. Some rooms don't have wifi though and you have to go the common areas to use. It.

Beautiful place. The owner and staff are nice and friendly. The hostel is very clean and organized. The rooms are massive and have a historical touch. The hostel interior is designed with lots of care and oozes positivity. We met so many nice people here and had one of our best New Year parties here. The hostel has a cafe, restaurant, pizza place, roof-top bar and a big kitchen. The restaurant's breakfast was what I exactly needed after a party night. There is a nice restraunts across and a cafe outside the hostel as well.

The only thing I did not enjoy overly was the neighboring areas. Many love the area but it was not as clean and nicely smelling as I would have hoped.

Very nice hostel with great vibe in it, insides looks awesome, staff is very helpful, breakfast are really good and they have lot of activities going around, probably one of the best hostels in Mexico - that is what others guest told me :)

Wonderful hostel in the centre very close to the underground and have all amenities in the surroundings. The staff is very helpful, a bit noisy but is the payment for the best location. Will recommend it and if possible go back.

Great location easy to find close to so much. Super friendly staff. Big comfortable rooms with high ceiling. Classic building with extensive decorations incorporating two restaurants and a roof terrace night club. A good, energetic vibe. Hot showers. Clean. While I was there, the complimentary supper for all guests was perfect for making friends and practising Spanish. Hard to fault, but others have complained it can be too noisy. Wifi is good. Free coffee light breakfast.

Very cool place to stay. They offer a small dinner and drink during the week so you can socialize with other guests, and then they organize going out on the weekends. Breakfast is small but a nice addition. Very cool decorations and design of the rooms and building. Highly recommend, would stay again!

My friend stayed here. We were blessed to find a bed on Sept 15 at around 4 pm.

This is a really nice place! I‘m more than satisfied with the service and the cleanness of the hostel. The stuff was really kind and helpful.
I had a pizza at the restaurant which was really tasty.

Love this hostel. It is noisier than most, but the covers are super soft and warm. There is a restaurant/bar in the hostel with beautiful dia de los muertos designs.

Also close to alot of shopping and tourist things. Right downstairs you'll also find a Cielito coffee shop and a Japanese restaurant.

AWESOME! GO HERE if you’re trying to have a good time in Mexico City. The staff is really nice. The price is very economical. The rooftop bar is awesome and the DJ plays good house music to keep the party going until the early am! You get free breakfast with the stay and the breakfast is very very good. It changes every day, too. We met some of the best people and the hostel hosts little get togethers there. I’d love to stay again.
