El Lugar De Nos Restaurante

When you come here remember to save room for the cast iron skillet apple pie with ice cream...it's large enough to share with 3 people...the clam chowder in a bread bowl was a disappointment but the bread was good just didn't taste like clams ...service was excellent...make a reservation on weekends as it's busy.

Second time was an even better experience.
We walked in around 9:30PM and we were quickly seated.
We were lucky and had Victor as our server once more. His suggestions were delicious. His attention to detail was outstanding.
I tried the Ensalada de Nos and added shrimp. The salad was fresh. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and they tasted SO GOOD.
Victor suggested we try the Tuna Tostadas...and ohhh man. Definitely coming back for that alone. The tostadas were so flavorful.
My drink for the night was Aperol bubble.
A mix of Jamaica and piña. Sweet and delicious.

Agreed, El Lugar De Nos is pretty special. The design and decor, the layout, the whole eclectic vibe is just so comfortable and fun. There’s always something to look at. The service from our waiter Eduardo was wonderful. His wine recommendations were smart, and he even double-checked with his manager to make sure he’d given good advice - yes he did!! We tried 3 different local red blends and they were all good. But it’s the food that makes the place worth a trip from anywhere. The tacos 84 are four flour tortillas generously filled with the most mouth-watering shredded beef, served with seasoned lettuces and some delicious sauces. Impressive. The Jamaica Sarteneada Pizzeta was a delicious flatbread with amazing flavor combos - I swear it had roasted beets along with the roasted onions. The Volcan de Chocolate is a very nice lava cake. It came with a vanilla ice cream. My only wish was to have had more of the whisky sauce and caramelized walnuts the menu mentioned. Next time I want to try whatever dessert Eduardo recommends!

What a great experience! Fresh food. Great service (the waiters are amazing and went above and beyond). Large portions and so so many options. Gotta try them all!

It was simply delicious! We made reservations ahead of time. We got there way before time and they were already waiting for us. The overall feeling of the restaurant is filled with nostalgia and at the same time hipster and artsy, like a dream. The only negative point is the parking.

Great little place to grab a bit to eat if you are traveling through Tecate. Ambiance is lovely, rustic vibes. Food is delicious and everything seems fresh. Prices are a little bit on the upside, but quality is great. They got a seasonal menu that changes from time to time so be sure to check out what's available when you drop on by. I recommend to go on a weekday, weekends there is usually some wait times for Breakfast,Brunch and Lunch.

Excellent restaurant! The food selection and quality is amazing. You can tell they have a great chef responsible for the menu. They offer a combination of Italian and Mexican rustic style food. The drinks were also amazing, did not have a chance to try dessert.
The prices seemed fair and the only problem is parking and the crowd that forms, so its best to make a reservation.
One of my favorite restaurants basing it just on the flavor and quality, will definitively return.

Easy the best food i had in Mexico and atmosphere is relaxing and kinda classy in a very soft and ?Mexican? way (hard to describe, just go there to understand). Food is a true explosion for the palette, not due to tons of chili that i love and allways add, except this time as there was so many falvours allready. Service also very good. Apetizers are perfect for 2 people to share before having mains (or another apetizer on your own) and you'll be full for sure. No mini dishes here, lovin it

For work in Tecate, Baja California. This place was highly recommended to us by the people in the area. Nice place, delicious food. Our team enjoyed the food and time there. The chile en nogada and agua de jamaica were delectable.

Excellent food, great service and atmosphere. A variety of dishes with unique flavors. Wine and good drinks. I would recommend the Orange Beer Drink. The 84 meet is served with a variety of dishes, unique to El Lugar de Nos.

Beautiful and huge restaurant. Colorful atmosphere, good for groups, and wide variety menu. The service was excellent.

Make sure to have your reservation to ease your way in. Every dish is delicious, I tried "Pulpo Enamorado" and is the best octopus I have tried with lots of flavor. The Mojito de Mezcal Ahumado is superb with lots of taste and flavor.

Rustic, artsy yet modern. We just stopped for a drink, shared a steak and a dessert... WOW!!! It only a 2+hour drive. We'll be there next week to try different items. Oh the apple dessert thing was delicious. So was the steak.

We live in LA but come to Tecaté a lot. El Lugar De Nos is one of my most favorite restaurants. Honestly, there are a lot of really great restaurants and cafes in Tecate but this place is truly right up my alley. The decor is just so enchanting. The menu is big and the food and drinks are absolutely incredible and creative. I eat a paleo/keto style diet and I find it so easy to find dishes to order here. There is something for everyone on the menu. I can't recommend El Lugar De Nos enough. Everything on the menu is great! We've only had great experiences.

Great food, great drinks , and most importantly, great service. The atmosphere is unique and fun and comforting.
Don’t go to tecate without visiting this place.
