Hands down the best food we had in Guanajuato! Delicious and creative flavors. The tuna with pineapple was fantastic. Strangely the place was packed at 6 and empty at 8pm, best to make a reservation. Would definitely come back!

I agree that it is the best restaurant in Guanajuato. The smoothie and milk shake are very good, and the meat is cooked soft and maintains its flavor and appropriate taste. Good environment and service. Must try!

A very cool restaurant on the second floor close to Theatre Juarez, but without the incessant noise and bustle. You can catch your breath, have a quiet, if not romantic dinner. The food is delicious, the flavors bold, and shines at modern Guanajuato taste. The servers are very nice, attentive and polite. The bar seems to be a constant activity of mixology. We went back twice.

Absolutely delicious meal at the Costal Cultura Cafeteria! Upscale entrees, including short ribs, salmon, beet salad, and much more. The wait staff spoke excellent English and was very patient and accommodating with food allergies, including gluten free and vegetarian. Tried the chocolate torte for dessert, so satisfying! Thank you!

We went here for lunch and it did not disappoint. Everything we had was delicious. So much flavor on each dish. The mezcal drinks were on point. Service was good. Highly recommended!

We shared several dishes just to sample as much as we could. The ceviche, pesto pasta, salmon, and churros were all excellent. The service and atmosphere matched the quality of the food. Highest recommendation!

We've eaten so much incredible food across Mexico, from street vendors to nice restaurants. But I will say that Costal Cultura is the best of many great meals we have had in the past week or so. I had the incredible filet with salsa matcha. So good. My wife had the rolled chicken. Delicious. The ceviche tostadas started us off. Please give this well priced off the tourist street gourmet dining establishment a try. You won't regret it.

Excellent summer rolls for appetizer, lots of sesame flavour. Friend had rib eye pork, which he ate every bite of! I had the Al Poblano pasta - fantastic! Good service and generous win pours!

Boyfriend selected this place after seeing reviews for the best restaurants in Guanajuato, as this was dinner fort my 28th birthday. Had some trouble finding it the map, but I'll chalk it up to the cities intricate design.

The name is slightly misleading, as you'll find a restaurant with varied choices instead of only a coffee shop.

Food was great and very creative, drinks were expertly prepared and my birthday dessert/drink was so pretty!

To improve, I'd suggest a larger selection of desserts and keep it creative as it's the rest of the menu.

Great seared salmon and shrimp. The service was good too English-friendly. Note that they don’t accept Amex even though on the door there is Amex logo.

Costal provided one of the most charming, delicious and memorable dining experiences I’ve ever had in Mexico. The quality and presentation of the cocktails exceeded my expectations. Although I’ve overseen countless advertising photo shoots for a tequila brand, I was beyond impressed by the attention to detail with the recipes and elevated presentation of their craft cocktails. The “Flor de amor” was incredible.

Our starter plates of guacamole (with a side of grasshoppers) and tostadas were excellent. The service was attentive and accommodating with our attempts to converse in limited knowledge of Spanish.

The entrees were thoughtfully conceived with large portions of fish and complement flavors paired with sauces distinct to interior Mexico.

The achiote tuna dish was brilliantly paired with pineapple, and I’ll be attempting to recreate that for the rest of my life.

Amazing place, the food is first quality, the flavors, the presentation, the variety, the service unbelievable! Super recommended.

The best restaurant in Guanajuato. Amazing spot with tables outside on small private balconies, amazing food and cocktails and very service. Cool spot, great food, just go.

In the center of the historic part of the town. Delicious food and amazing service.
Lettuce rolls : very good. Healthy but tasty. Croquetas : muy buenas. Pasta pesto : great, with a lot of vegetables and pesto.
Tarta trufa chocolate : soft and tasty.
But mostly : such a kind and efficient waiter. Thank you for that !

High end dining place that was recommended by a local. I had their short rib steak one day and their picana steak another day. Ok I love meat. I liked the picana better. Also their Aztec soup was excellent.

Excellent services and amazing food. The previous reviews were spot on. The octopus tacos are to die for. Upstairs patio seating is a big plus. Both serene and romantic. I'm glad I checked out Costal. I'll be back.

Such a great place. We're been there 4 times in our two trips to guanajuato. Cocktails are so special and the food is spectacular. Octopus tacos are the absolute best.

Great food and excellent service too :D We had the octopus tacos, aztec sopa and the pasta al poblano. Also, a mango based cocktail(I forget the name) the churro ganache dessert. All of the items we had tasted good. Further the vibe of the place was really cozy and cool. Would definitely dine here again if I visit Guanajuato again! :-)
