Beautiful restaurant, excellent food superbly presented, and wonderful service. The food is possibly the best we've had in three trips to Mexico. Highly recommend.

Really nice food with good prices. The service is also great, and fast! If you're looking to go for lunch, just keep in mind that they open at 2 p.m., as the locals usually eat lunch around that time.

We learned about this place by chance. We had no idea it was related to Casa Valadéz. (Which we have also dined in.) I must say, both restaurants are amazing. Each of my family members ordered something different and we were all very pleased with the serving portion, the taste and the quality of the food. The beverages were incredible. Great service, great environment. Overall, just a great place to dine. Next time we visit Guanajuato, we will definitely be going back to La Virgen de la Cueva. Wonderful Mexican gourmet food.

The best casual restaurant though out the trip.
Foods are fantastic, great atmosphere and nice people with great hospitality.
Good for family, friends, and couple or big group.... any party would be fun.
Although casual restaurant that you can wear almost anything, great for special occasion even boyfriend and girlfriend.
I will come back this place for sure!

You have got to try the bone morrow Sopes, they are truly amazing, also the tune Tacos are the best ones I have ever had. Adding to the amazing food take a look into the extensive and exclusive wine & liquor list you can enjoy over there.
You will be amazed and almost all drinks & cocktails are 2x1 every day!

Great food! Servers hover, but I just tell them to relax! 😉 The service is impeccable and the atmosphere is very relaxing and/or romantic.

My boyfriend and I visited Guanajuato from Chicago approximately 2 weeks ago. We had the best dinning experience we’ve ever had at virgen de la cueva. The service was truly amazing!!! So much we wanted to go back right the next day but they closed early. The food and drinks were great. We couldn’t stop talking about how great everything was.

If you visit Guanajuato you must have a meal at this restaurant. The food and atmosphere are a treat.

If you visit Guanajuato - take my advice - visit this restaraunt. For an idea of what to expect, look at the photographs of the food and of the restaraunt's interior design. The creativity that you see will be surpassed by the pleasure of the meal.

Insider tips - pick a slow day to visit, leave room for dessert and coffee, order a good wine, tequila, or craft beer, and when your servers treat you well - return the favor and reward them well.
