Rufos Grill

I had breakfast there, specially their chilaquiles with eggs and chicken. I washed it down with a strawberry and banana smoothie. The service was great as was their food. The atmosphere was very relaxing. I'll definitely be back

Great food and excellent musicians. Father and son played the keyboard and guitar and sang American rock and roll songs. We went there several times while we were in Zihuatenajo Mexico.

A little off the beaten path, but in a beautiful and friendly neighborhood of small villas, shops, and restaurants. The staff was welcoming. Everything on the menu looks delicious, and I can say that with certainty about the pork chop and fresh snapper dishes. Live music was playing throughout the evening. I highly recommend exploring Zihua's quaint corners; especially those of us (like myself) that are staying in one of the Playa la Ropa condos.

Amazing experience. Good food, good live music by the owner himself and great service. If you come, make sure to get the octopus. The owner is also very nice.

Ate 2 times. Ruffo is a great host. The Mahi Mahi was grilled perfectly. A great place. Live music. Totally recommend.

Wow… amazing octopus, amazing tuna catch of the day, and amazing caesar salad… definitely recommend!

Rico's food is consistently good. The server is the owner and he treats you like a valued guest. My cheese quesadilla with shrimp was good, but was made excellent smoked, mildly spicy tomatoes. My wife had the chicken with fine herbs, which she liked. As well, there was musician playing, which we also enjoyed.

This is a quaint place with delicious fresh food grilled on one of those large outdoor grills. The place is a bit rustic which is all good with me! Open air seating with cats & dogs coming through.
Shrimp fajita was soooo good! Ribs were very good! Fries were so-so, but that would not keep me from returning.
I like this place. The owner is a welcoming man, proud of the good food that they serve. He loves music & has some really good local players playing beautiful Mexican music. I was very pleased to visit Rufos. I will return!

What a great surprise! We were staying in the pretty coastal town of Zihuatenejo and were told by a frequent visitor to visit this Grill. It is quaint and local and the owner is super friendly and welcoming. Since this is a costal sea town we were looking to try some grilled Octopus. It was delicious! The atmosphere was relaxed with some live music from the Owner himself. If you are visiting the area be sure to stop by at Ruffo's Grill. The grilled chicken was a bit dry but usually chicken breasts are. I'm sure grilled dark meat chicken would be good. The drinks were great as well, though the alcohol from my drink was separated in a tall shot glass I think...

Amazing food! Service was great, and the owner was very nice. The lives music was spectacular and price was great. Make sure to come here if in town.

Wonderful meal and Fantastic atmosphere. Our visit featured a Jazz/ Contemporary guitarist/ keyboard player.. The owner joined in for a few Santana covers... it was awesome 👌.

We go back to rufos every year when we visit from Canada. His meals never disappoint and he is just so lovely and personable. Can't go wrong . I recommend fully.

Top three steak places in Zihua. Great hamburgers, too! Reasonably priced. The BBQ skirt steak is better than my own!

The best meal I have had in zihuat. If you're lucky the owner might be having a birthday and serenade you with impeccable Santana.

Try the arrachera! Comes with mushroom and wine gravy. Spectacular! Best meal I had in Zihua. However, the quality seems to vary. On another night, it was just OK.

Delicious mesquite grilled meats, fish and veggies. rustic setting, lots of greenery and colorful paintings by local artists. Live jazz and latin music adds to the atmosphere and enjoyment of dinner.

My first time there with a huge group of people and it was amazing, Wonderful atmosphere, great food and service, the owner played the best Santana Music ever, jeez I can only say I wish I would have found this place sooner. We had the best food. And like I said we had a group of 10 and all the food came out together, and the drinks as well, the service was awesome, we only forgot to take pictures that night but the cast of La Casa Que Ve Al Mar was in the house!!!!! Thank you for your amazing food, atmosphere and Music.

Perfectly cooked steak and mahimahi, Rufo welcoming and entertaining, excellent service, great value. Genuine delight!
