El Rey del Cabrito

Food was good chips and dip was good but... ask for mild dip. I don't love goat and I still ended up liking it. Soup was good I saw a birthday music performance that was also super.

The reputation is talking for itself here, an absolute experience if you're in Monterrey. I was not sure to what type of cabrito I should eat and the service was very helpful to bring a mix dish for me to try. Awesome quality and taste!

Food was fantastic, the half cabrito was enough to easily feed 4 people. First time trying, inside was very nice and service was good. Will return when I visit again.

The baby goat shoulder was really tender and this place is recommended by the locals

This is the original El Rey del Cabrito and it is excellent. The goat was tender, the guacamole was good, as were the beans and other salsas. This is not just a tourist place--plenty of Mexicans eat here. It does have the best goat we've had. The Cumbre location is also good. Have not been to the Obispado location but it's probably good.

Baby goat tastes so delicious, my friends and I very enjoy the food. The restaurant is decorated with many gorgeous crystal lamps and has very good atmosphere.

Great flavor surrounded by a very classical scenario, that could be perceived as some kind taky or overloaded, however, that is part of the experience.
When you see waiters that have been there for more than 25 years, attending the tables with the same energy, interest and consideration than always, you can be sure you're in a good place.

Only place I will eat cabrito at. Always leave satisfied 😌

Wow! What a fabulous restaurant. The original home of Cabrito, roasted goat. The decor is amazing and the place is famous for good reason. Any self respecting "foodie" has to visit.

Great service, great food. Before you walk in you have to sanitize your shoes, get your temperature, and hand sanitizer. Very well organized.

Absolutely amazing food, I ate both goat and beef. I'll simply say that despite being incredibly full, my wife and I were so determined to try the King's dessert menu that we actually left the restaurant and walked a quarter mile so we could return ready for dessert and coffee. This was the right choice.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to El Rey del Cabrito. The food was great and the servers were quite attentive. I most certainly suggest experiencing this establishment. I will return during my next visit to Monterrey.

It was this place where it was the first and only time I ever had cabrito. The meat's taste is certainly different than I'm used to but it's not bad at all. Great food there and very fresh, and the staff provided great service.

"El cabrito" is part of Monterrey's specialities. Probably one of the best place to try it. Highly recommend
