Cesar was an AWESOME tour guide and we felt like we seriously got our money’s worth with the animal tour and cenote visit. He was super funny and was so knowledgeable about the local plants and the animals and you could feel how passionate he was about rehabilitating animals and returning them to the wild with every word. We had a honey tasting afterward and it was SO different from the taste of the honey you can have in the US. The food at the restaurant was also awesome. Cannot recommend enough!

We came here to do a tour through the sanctuary and cenote with Cesar - and it was amazing!!! We really wanted something different, environmental, we could give back and experience the beauty of nature. We got all of that and then some - animals wonderfully cared for and a cenote that takes your breath away.

Our stay in the jungle was absolutely amazing!
Our stay at this non profit nature reserve was the most amazing experience ever. We had the nature reserve tour just as we arrived and Ceaser our guide showed us all the rescued animals, we tasted a wild chilli plant and honey from bees on the grounds which was the best honey I have ever tasted, we stopped in the truck half way to the reserve to hold a wild tarantula which was in the road. All of the animals are all so well cared for here, we swam in a private Cenote with stalagmites and stalactites all around us, a truly magical experience and we even got to see fire flys at the end of our tour <3 truly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had! You 100% have to stay here! Also a continental breakfast was included which was really nice :) we only stayed for one night but wish we stayed for more as they do yoga here I think and also seeing turtles which we couldn’t do due to weather reasons but more of a reason to come back ;)

We visited in October 2023. Myself, My wife and our two sons aged 9 and 4.
It was by far the best thing we did in our 2 weeks in Mexico.
Our guide Cesar was outstanding.
The whole place is out of this world. Nestled in the middle of a thick jungle.
Please check it out for yourselves!

Loved staying at this place. It was quiet, serene and beautiful. Loved the cenotes. Ceremonial center was perfect for yoga practice. Free bikes to use to explore the area. Rooms comfortable and clean. Would stay again!

Did not stay here, but would have liked to. Situated in the forest it had its own cinote and was very peaceful, surrounded by wildlife. Staff were very welcoming and friendly

This is a fantastic little gem to visit. Thoroughly recommended. Our guide was brilliant and very knowledgeable. We loved the way that the animals are being put through stages of rehabilitation to get them ready to be put back into the wild following injury or rescue.
There was a huge diversity of things to see and learn about here.
The end of the tour was amazing where we were treated to a lovely swim in an underground cenote. Thoroughly refreshing after a warm walk round In the jungle.
The children really enjoyed the drive into the jungle Mexican style in the back of the 4x4.
On site there was also a pleasant little restaurant which was serving lovely fresh dishes.
And the honey which is produced on site was unreal. Best we have tried!
All the money taken for entry to this place and profits from the restaurant go towards the rehabilitation of the birds and animals being looked after .
Completely non profit and also sadly not funded by the government.
Thoroughly reccomend a visit to this sanctuary.

One of the most beautiful cenotes I’ve ever seen and the best honey I’ve ever tasted. Be sure to pack plenty of mosquito spray. One layer and the stay and tour was comfortable.

My stay at Akumal Natura Glamping was absolutely incredible.
The whole staff is super friendly and helpful and the tents are awesome!
If you want to experience the jungle please go there!
You will find lots of interesting animals, a lovely cenote on the property and if you decide to join their tour to the animal rescue station you will get to know even more animals and their heartwarming background stories.
Don't miss out the jungle shower with daily delivered hot water 😉

Just an unbelievable location and beautiful resort. The girlfriend and me just love it here with 2 beautiful cenotes where swimming in your birthday suit is magical. Great service but upset that my left sunglasses on the sun bed were not turned in by the staff. Love tye bungalow and the outdoor shower.

A truly magical experience I’ll never forget. The cenote at the end was transformative and almost spiritual. César’s love & passion for the animals was so genuine and added to the tour

Love staying here. B at front desk is the best. Adrian a magician. The cenotes are super sweet to swim in, especially at night with the bats flying around. Loved our stay here. Will book again 100%.

It is close enough to civilization but far enough from it as well. There is a monkey sanctuary close by, so the sound and view of nature was fantastic. The pool is a Cenote. All very relaxing. And the staff was excellent!

We are at the restaurant of the glampsite after a wonderful tour at the rescue. The drinks and the food were delicious, totally recommend it. Just a minute off the main highway so makes it an easy stop for breakfast a drink or a meal

I was out on a long run when I became overheated. I was obviously in distress. I ducked into the restaurant at the Akumal Natura Glamping. I filled my water bottle and sat quietly in the shade. Not only did they welcome me, but they also encouraged me to stay as long as I needed. They were kind, affectionate, and caring. If they are this kind to a stranger who stumbled in, imagine how they treat their guests. Thank you for your sincere hospitality. I'm not sure how I can ever repay you.

Jano gave my wife and me a great tour. He's very knowledgeable and has a great sense of humour. The animals are well cared for and the cenote is a refreshing way to end your visit. Because it's a not-for-profit place, your fees go to helping the animals. Worth a visit.
