The best Mexican cuisine in Guanajuato downtown. I have enjoyed the appetizing dinner at here everyday during my visiting 4 days.
It is strongly recommend for a window side table(close to Teatro Juarez) for a historic view.

Really glad we found casa valadez. Historical restaurant with rich legacy and centrally located.

We ordered the daily special which included a 5 or 6 course meal. Everything was excellent. Service was exceptional with perfect timing.

You'll be thinking about this place long after your visit.

Arrived around 230pm. Staff was very friendly, we were shown pictures with recommendations. The food was delicious, the drinks were amazing, I recommend the menu of the day!!! I'd definitely return.

Excellent service and overall dining experience. We loved the food here, except for the divorced enchiladas. The tortilla was a bit dry.

A high end restaurant located right beside the main plaza. There is usually a line to get in, and the wait time is around 5-15mins depending when you go. Food was really good and the prices were fair for a fine dinning experience. There was live music performed when we were there for dinner. Overall it was a great restaurant.

Outstanding food and outstanding service. So far, we have eaten there three times in two days. Not our usual choice when exploring a town. We have eaten out all over Mexico and this was so good, we didn't really think we needed to shop around for another place to eat, though we have tried some others in the area that were less notable.

I am not saying it was perfect. As a chef, I am a little picky, but the high notes were so good that the small mistakes are not worth mentioning. I particularly recommend ordering from the "Cortes Finos" menu. The beef is superlative, in quality and in preparation.

The service was nearly flawless. Waiters were smooth, attentive and unobtrusive. Food was delivered as soon as it was ready.

Second time visiting after 5 years. Just as before, it's still a very elegant place with more waiters than I can count. We had enchiladas, salmon tacos, and a rice bowl. All were great!!

Wow! We had lunch for 4 with a tired 2-year old in tow. The AC was welcome on a very hot day. FANTASTIC food - especially the divorced enchiladas. Great service. If in Guanajuato, you must stop here.

Beautiful place and extremely welcoming staff. The service is second to none and they make sure that everything is perfect. I tried the tasting menu and it was worth it. It covers the best dishes in their menu. I highly recommend the tasting menu - it is a unique experience for sure. To add, in the evening there was a singer accompanied by a pianist and this was a nice surprise too. Recommended!

The house bread is pretty good, in particular the elote bread! I’d come and I’d drive hours just for that bread.

I tried the chicken miners enchiladas and they were pretty good. The huarachitos are a great way to open the course.

The place is upscale and the service is great.

I’d come back any time.

Wonderful restaurant that just happens to be located in a hotel. The service was excellent and the price point very reasonable. The food was delicious and the atmosphere very comfortable. If you are looking for great dining experience while in the historic center I definitely recommend Casa Valadez.

Stopped by for a late dinner without reservations and enjoyed Arrachera steak on a sizzling hot plate with asparagus with bacon and oven baked potatoes,. Fish tostadas, right in the middle of town Jardin de la union. 5 stars+

my boyfriend and i came here without a reservation and were instantly seated. it took a little while for our server to greet us but after that the service was consistent and our waiter was very friendly. at the end of our meal i wanted a mojito to go and the waiter accommodated me and gave me what he called a “super mojito” :D the cheese empanada hit the spot, the bread service was so good (i practically inhaled the cornbread muffin). my boyfriend said his noodle soup wasn’t memorable, but i really liked my pasta. we will definitely be returning to try out the breakfast. the only negative thing i have to say is that if you sit by the window you will be approached by countless people trying to sell you things, which made it a little hard to enjoy the experience.

Delicious food, fantastic service, right in the heart of Guanajuato. I've been for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and never had a bad experience. Photos are of our breakfast... Huevos Rancheros and Poblano Breakfast with a bread basket.

Went there for breakfast and it was great. Diego Rivera’s enchiladas were delicious. Their pastries were freshly baked and very tasty. Eggs with chilaquiles were tasty too. Their packages are very complete and not pricey at all, since they include fruit and juice. Service is fast and friendly. The tables next to the windows are very cozy. A must in Guanajuato!

We love this place! Everything we ate here was excellent. Chicken soup was exquisite & was a meal by itself. Their salads are excellent. Prices may look high at first glance, but, not really. You'd pay at least $50 per person for a meal like this in the U.S. You pay barely $20 per person here! (Including a drink and a dessert to share.)

We chose the meal of the day which was a 7 course meal with a huge assortment and variety of delicious salad, soup, meat, cheeses, fish, fresh breads, sauces, sorbets, and desserts. The service was impeccable and staffed with the best way waiters Ever! Food artistically created and presented.

This was one of the first place we went when we got here and it was excellent. Loved the steak that came out hot on a cast iron shaped like a cow lol. The drinks, food and service here we're all excellent!

The food was very good and the location was even better.
