Great little spot out of the way .only hour drive from la cruz and that is with the dirt roads...(slow speed) road can seem a little ruff in a small car( but can be done easily) .The route is quite a little site seeing event (well worth it ) .place has 20 hot tubs maybe .You get one to yourself for the day very nice and hot under the tree canopy. price is cheap think we payed 150 peso for two people .Places to cook right at you hot tub....little store with food and drinks on site ..It's awesome place to spend the day.

Such a zen and rejuvenating experience. Went as part of a tour, and we were glad we visited this beautiful place.

I had a surreal and rejuvenating experience at this magical place. Luz the amazing masseuse, Alejandro and particularly Gustavo were wonderful hosts.

Soooo....you want an adventurous experience, huh? Well, if you go here, you're certainly going to have one!

This place is a beautiful! (and locally popular! Best to go early on weekdays!).

It's only a few pesos to get in, and they don't take credit cards.

There is a tent camping area, hiking trails, and a small concession. Best to bring your own cookout picnic stuff.

Download the Spanish language package on your translator app if you don't speak the language... You won't have signal.

Be patient... It's a long, wind-y drive. And take your camera!! This is a great solo trip on a bike, but definitely not a belt-driven one and your slow-speed skills need to be really good.

Magic in the jungle! Approximately 20 small pools with different temperature thermal water. After closing the used pools are drained and cleaned. Next day water in the pools is crystal clear again. Best days are week days, and early morning. Entry is MN$50 (US$3), cash only. The road from Fortuna de Vallejo is a little rough, particularly in the rainy season (July to November).

Good hot springs and the place was really nice. Visited for the morning with a local guide (Antonio) from an Airbnb adventure experience, otherwise I would've never found this little gem. No cell reception that far out, lol, but isn't that the point? I recommend it.

I am a hot springs freak, seaking them out across all the continents. This is a rustic place far from civilization, so take everything you need with you (feb2018 update: mexican food onsite including shrimp and beef as well as hamburgers without fries. this deserved full 5 star review.) Overnight tent camping.

There is a place to BBQ, and the place is setup so each group gets a set of pools so you can make one hot and the other cool. There are big flat areas perfect for your tent and camping experience.

Highly recommended for anyone visiting Nayarit or Puerto Vallarta. Make it a day. Last few miles of road have now been cobblestoned for easy access. No 4x4 required, any car will get you there

Very nice place to visit and stay for a few hours . You can also camp and stay overnight. They sell food, drinks, coffee. They have individual pools, they explained to us they clean and change water often.
The road to get there is very rustic but worth the trip. Better if you hire a guide to take you there

Bring something to eat, limited options. Not as hot as others I have visited but a very safe, enjoyable and clean place. There are grills to cook on, just need all your own supplies and charcoal. Onsite was a small store / restaurant. Selling basic snacks and drinks. I set up a hammock and after a lunch and a soak a nap turned into 4-5 hours of peaceful sleep. Bathrooms available. Very clean and a nice day trip. Worth a visit if you want to go off the beaten path. The road is rough and no signage. Cell service is very limited, I ended up napping till after dark and it made for an interesting return trip back to town.

The place is kinda far from the beach and nearby cities (90 min drive) but it’s worth it. They charge $60 per person, and there’s plenty of parking space. Pro tips: get there early (before 11am) so you definitely get a pool. Also, it could be that the water is too hot and you might need to wait until is right for you to go in. Finally, every pool has its table and BBQ place, it’s a good idea to bring your own meat and food to prepare there.

It was our 1st time in Mexico and when we heard about this place we wanted to check it out. We spent 2hrs driving from Los Ayala. The road from Los Ayala until the right turn to Las Cañadas is alright. But after that the road is rough you need to drive slow unless your using off road vehicle (we rented chevy aveo sedan and we made it safe to the hot spring). The place is nice and clean. There are plenty of pool to choose if you come in early. Each family or group get there own pool. The pool is made of rocks and concrete. If you asked one of the personnel they will show you the source. $40pesos per person. On site bathroom, changing room and little store to order some food and drinks ( you are also welcome to bring your own food and drink). It was worth a drive, we had a great time and enjoyed it so much.

This place is definitely off the beaten path. Just the drive here is an adventure. The last 10k is on a dirt, stone road with a few water crossings. I followed the Google Maps directions and just before entering the small village of Nuevo Ixtlán I was told to make a sharp right. DON'T DO IT. Continue on through the village for about 1k more. You will see a sign for Aguas Termales, turn right here and in 2.5k you will have reached your destination.

A wonderful place. Over 30 individual pools gravity filled by the creek which comes from a hot spring. The last stretch of road is a narrow winding gravel or cobblestone road. We were part of a guided experience through Handshealth Vallarta which included a lunch, facial and massage. Not sure if we could have found this on our own. To get there you will drive through local agricultural areas and some bush, along with a few small villages. Overall an excellent experience.

These natural thermal/springs were amazing once we got over the proximity of the other people. It's 60 pesos p/p under 3 dollars
Things you must know:
It's hella far! (Worth it though plan for a whole day food, booze etc)
Pool(s) sizes depend on party size
Realize your pool can be next to a party of 14 with kids.
Spa services are cheap and nice
Realize this is a natural local experience not luxurious at all!
Worth it would go again. *** read other reviews about the directions***

Great pools. They give your party your own pool. Very clean. Can choose how hot you want the pool to be. We didn't try the food but you can buy snacks and basic meals.

Beautiful place first time there and hope to go back in the future it is a private tour and the guide prepares a plate of fresh fruit for each person, after that he starts grilling chicken, pork and beef
