Moe Ma Kha Elephant Camp

It is a natural breeding place.
There are currently 5 elephants.
Instead, you can feed and ride an elephant.
Entrance fee is 1000 kyats.
It is a place you should visit when you come to ngwe saung beach.

A very lovely place to see cute elephants. The elephants are well trained. We also get to feed the elephants with food. Though this place is rather primitive, it has it's attractive area that should be commended. The ride with the elephants are enjoyable. Many tourists love to touch the elephants. It gives me great pleasure to be among the elephants. #ThankYou

Nice place for Long stay

ဆင်ထိန်းဝန်ထမ်းတွေလည်း သဘောကောင်းကြတယ်။

Its not a campground for humans. Its a govt run (former logging) camp for elephants...when we were there there were 8. I compare it to Chitwan Nepal's elephant camp. 5 usd per person gets you entrance and a small show which we put a stop to after a few minutes...not particularly cruel but just felt demeaning. Elephants seemed better kept than the camp's human residents who I dont think they are particularly welloff from this livelihood.

Not easy to find as there was no visible sign. Not easy to get to as the road was muddy and the bridge had been washed away!! The camp is layed back and the elephants (there were only two) seems happy enough. I didn't ride them but just fed and talked with them.

Good place to rest for a while and feed elephants.
