This is a place where Buddhists come to pray. It is an important place in Myanmar. And the temple area has a market selling souvenirs. I like many products here. We can negotiate prices with sellers. I bought a Burmese sarong to wear to visit the Shwedagon Pagoda. good products and good price negotiable.

Shwe Thar Lyaung Buddha - the reclining Buddha:
Exactly 54 years after my last visit I revisited this reclining Buddha Temple. It was the same.
In addition the images in the narration of the incidents that led to building of this reclining Buddha were depicted on the rear side. There was a time that the statue cannot be captured fully by any camera. Now sweep panorama enables to capture full image.

The sheer scale of Shwethalyaung Pagoda is breathtaking. The reclining Buddha, adorned in a golden robe, lies gracefully on a raised platform, creating a serene and contemplative atmosphere. This place is the first place I gave a 5 star in my review. Because there is a very unique factor. I will explain the difference. If I start talking about this, I will start telling a very special history. More than 700 years ago Buddhism has not flourished in this place yet. At that time, people were often killed in this place, and false doctrine prevailed. The king who ruled that place at that time also worshiped that idea. There used to be a huge Demon statue in this place. When the false idol was built, the king killed people and offered it to the false god. Among them is an princess .At the time of killing the princess a very strange thing happened. Princess focuses on God with the correct words of truth. The statue of demon was broken into pieces after Princess made her vow. Then the god you see now It was built by the king and the people of the country. I have heard that if you pray with good and true words, it is very full. I want to explain more than this. Please excuse my English.
