Hôtel Atafana

Super place! Bungalows at the beach. Whale watching from the terrace. Extremely friendly personel. Quiet. Nice food. Small scale.

Endroit très isolé et magnifique!
Pour les déplacement prévoir un tuktuk ou louer une moto.
Nous avons choisi cet emplacement pour visiter le nord et le sud de l'île, il faut 1h~ voire un peu plus pour aller jusqu'à l'aéroport.
Le personnel est agréable, la plage est belle, les plats sont bons.
Le punch coco est excellent !
Et le petit déjeuner est copieux.
Les bungalows sont a quelques mètres de la plage, et on s'endort avec le bruit de l'océan.
Nous avons même eu la chance d'apercevoir une baleine.

Siamo stati tre notti in questo hotel a conduzione famigliare e l’abbiamo adorato. Il personale è super gentile e accogliente, il cibo è super: il loro pesce alla salsa al cocco o pomodoro è buonissimo. La posizione per noi è stata comodo perché con la moto che l’hotel ci ha aiutato a noleggiare abbiamo esplorato sia il nord che il sud essendo a metà circa dell’altezza dell’isola.
La spiaggia privata è molto bella e si posso vedere tramonti spettacolari.
Per chi non è amante dei grandi resorts, come noi, ma ama una situazione più intima e accogliente questo è il posto ideale.

Bungalow au bord de l eau, accueil d une extrême gentillesse de Laly et Frack les propriétaires, personnel adorable, cuisine variée et excellente. Un petit coin de paradis, je recommande absolument

Le site est merveilleux, l’accueil est attentif et chaleureux, les repas sont excellents et le le p’tit déjeuner est abondant, les bungalows sont confortables et les pieds dans l’eau ! Que demander de plus pour se sentir cool et au summum du bien être ?

Bonjour les amis! J ' adore beaucoup l ' hôtel Atafana Beach Sainte Marie Madagascar, car il
est dans un endroit calme, paisible et beau. Vu panoramique magnifique , l ' eau, le sable et le ciel s 'allient pour créer une harmonie parfaite!

Bonjour je recommande cet endroit très calme très bon accueil bonne cuisine, bungalow très propre avec une très belle vue Prix très abordables entre 70 000 aria et 100 000 aria pour deux ou quatre personnes...

I don't want to give any place a 5 star review but I honestly feel like a 4 star does not do it justice, although 5 may be pushing it. I wish I could give it a 4.5

The chalets are well maintained and clean. The bathrooms especially are in good shape. When I was there I paid 40000 Ar (13$) a night for accommodation which made it a solid value offering.

The service is nothing short of excellent. All of the hotel staff know your name and are more than willing to assist you in any way possible. Furthermore; they go out of their way to make you feel at home and familiar and in my case even went out of their way to introduce me (the solo traveler) to some of the other travelers staying there at the same time.

The food is priced fairly. Every meal I ate there was delicious and very well prepared.

Lee-La (or La-Lee) is the manager and she speaks fluent English. She really gets to know all of the guests well and provides the most useful advice to anyone and also really goes the extra mile to ensure that everyone is well looked after.

They provide airport shuttle service or to the ferry and also almost all of the tuk tuk drivers know where the hotel is and the hotel is centrally located. you can get to the north or south of the island easily from the hotel and if you are into hiking there is an amazing hike from the west of the island to the east which starts very close to the hotel.

the view from the rooms overlooking the reef is stunning and you can swim as well.

I honestly do not think there is a better place to stay than at Atafana when you visit Sainte Marie.

Suggestions when you are at Atafana;
1. Cycle or take a tuk tuk to the south point of the Island and take a ferry over to the smaller island at the south point
2. Hike to the east side of the island (it is an easy 3hr hike that starts in forest) but do this hike very early in the morning-after 9 am the sun is really hot and the latter part of the hike has no shade. once you reach the east side, go to the mangroves and cross over to the beach-pristine, untouched, and so amazing.

Le bungalow où nous étions était certes confortable, mais quelques travaux s'imposent.

Le personnel était attentif et aimable.
Ils se sont occupés de nous trouver un tuk tuk et une moto pour nos déplacements.

Pour le prix, leur petit déjeuner est copieux et délicieux. J'espère que ça ne changera pas. Leur confiture à la banane est excellente et fait maison svp ! Le punch coco à tomber par terre !
