Calypso Hotel & Spa

If I could give 10 stars I would, beautiful hotel, amazing food at the restaurant. The staff have all made me feel very welcome over my 2 week stay, Ronan the General Manager of the hotel is extremely friendly and great conversationist, if you are in his hotel he ensures you are happy. I have stayed at many hotels this one feels like home.

Centrally located in Toamasina, close to a super market. (10min walk)
Very good staff. Extremely courteous and will go out their way to serve you.
Food is good.
Indoor pool and gym is well maintained.
Rooms are clean and tidy. Baby cot available on request.

If you’re English speaking, the only challenge is explaining yourself sometimes as staff mostly speak French/Malagasy.

Calypso Hotel & Spa is nice place to visit for vacation and other amusements day in day out, also a conducive environment for relaxation. You can get all snacks you want please visit to enjoy life in fulness.

It is one of the best places to stay in Tamatav, room is not that spacious, but always clean, respect to the management for always checking and caring, a welcome drink, a welcoming and helpful staff, nice spa and massage, great food

Calypso hotel is the best comfort stay you would get in Tamatave. It was homely luxury. Ronan the director would personally meet you at the restaurat each day and cater to all you need. Its a culinary delight under Ronan here. Thanks Ronan for the lovely chit chat we had. If you are not French speaking dont mind the hotel staff misunderstanding your requirements but just repeat to make sure they have understood what you want. I would choose Calypso the next time as well.

I have been impressed in the true sense with this place. This place has been rated 4 stars but I am rating it 5 stars. I have been in different countries and different hotels but this specific hotel Calypso has been one of the best. Hygiene top class from the bedding, shower, swimming pool, gym to the restaurant...
Great selection of people working here from the security at the door to the waiters the attitude is first class.
You will never go wrong by choosing this place. I have been visiting this country for 6 years now and everytime has been just as good.
I salut every single personal who works at Calypso and much respect for them.
