Lac Hotel Sahambavy

Remarkable place in a stunning location. Staff is very helpful and friendly.
The road from N7 is in good condition by motorbike during dry season. Lots of potholes in some part but nothing dramatic if it didn't rain.
The walk around the lake (7km) is a great activity, to watch local life and countryside.

Very nice hotel directly at the lake with many colorful flowers (incl. Nametags), very nice room with a view, pool was cold but nice.

Restaurant with friendly staff, a fireplace that kept us warm and cozy, food overall was quite ok, but not perfect.

Still we very much enjoyed our stay for the one nighty only (unfortunately).

Today it has been several years since we stayed at this beautiful place on a tour in 2008. The hotel equipped with different bungalows up to tree houses. It is right on a small lake. After a cool night we were surprised in the early morning with a shoreline dipped in mist. There were many plants to look at in the hotel grounds, and flower lovers were delighted. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Exceptional it is a pity we did not spend more time at this place. Clean room with a beautiful view of the lake. Dinner was very good and we tried out the typical breakfast which was great!!

What a surprise and this time a very good surprise.
A pleasure to book into. Room extremely good we had a room on the first floor in the building left of the reception.
Restaurant was very good as was the menu. They have rooms on stilts over the lake. A converted railway carriage a tree house. There on gardens for fruit veg etc. A comfortable seating area outside where you can have coffee etc.

Wonderful hotel with a great restaurant as well. Truly enjoyed our stay here. The room was generous in size and had an ideal view of the lake. Bed was very large and comfortable. Food is top notch. Highly recommend a stay here if you're in the area.

We ate delicious food and the rooms were super comfy. We were on the bungalows on the lake, had the rest we deserved!

Unbelievable ... A must stay. The bungalow was the most amazing place we stayed in Madagascar. Very friendly staff and great food. And the view from the deck is amazing!

The peacefulness at night is only second to the amazing sights. The restaurant is vert good and the staff seem to anticipate your needs.

Ein wunderschönes mit Liebe, Familie, Kultur und Geschmack gestaltetes Hotel. Ein sehr entspanntes Ambiente und dabei von allen Abenteuern nicht weit. Gut gelegen und trotz typisch madagassischer Schlechter Straße, gut zu erreichen mit Auto, Zug oder Bus + Taxi. Auf jeden Fall ein Ort in diesem Land um sich mal richtig was zu gönnen.

L'hôtel est absolument magnifique et plein de charme. Très bien entretenu et propre. Juste au bord du lac avec une très jolie vue depuis la chambre. Un des plus agréables sur 3 semaines à Madagascar.

L'endroit est très beau, le service est au top, les repas sont délicieux mais il faut rester au moins une nuit pour en profiter, je recommande vivement.
