Palissandre Cote Ouest resort & SPA

Lovely private chalets with air conditioning on a sandy beach, 2 pools, romantic swings, a gift shop and a volleyball pitch all right next to the sea. Breakfast lunch and dinner is available and there's also a bar. It is just a short walk to some local bars, restaurants, souvenir shops and the national park ticket office.

Really good hotel, service and location. Perfect spot for relaxation. It's a bit overpriced compared to other options in the area, but still worth every cent for the amazing experience

Very comfortable stay and place to R&R after some tough days on gnarly west coast tracks! The grounds are immaculate, the pools very nice, rooms very comfortable. The staff are all super lovely and high standard of service. It may be the most expensive option in Morondava but I feel is good value

the bungalow we had facing the sea, was spacious, clean and had a very interesting shower in a open wooden floor.

Nice bungalows with elementary supplies. Bed had almost hole at the spine area - used decoration pillow adding one under the mattress to fix this. Dinner was accompanied by great live music! Red wine (the one sold by class) was highly overpriced for its quality but we swallowed it being in the end of the world and everything.
Breakfast was good and attentive service plus seaview made it perfect.

This place is just amazing in all aspects. We have spent two nights here on half-board basis. The attention of the staff is very warm and professional. All services are up to the standard you expect and more. The environment is just magical and you will love it.
The restaurant serve delicious meals (contrary to the Lonely Planet negative review) and it has a good variety to choose from.
The rooms are stacious, delicately decorated, very intimate and give you warm feel. The bed is just amazing, the most comfortable.
Totally recommended stay, we would return again.

Out of all the hotels we stayed at in 2019 and this visit Aug 2022, this resort will stay in my memory as the establishment who has the whole journey right.

Beds are actually king size and the matrice is moderately hard which were good to my back.

Request a room with sea view (rooms 129, 126, 127 and 128) because some rooms are a bit far from the beach.

The PCO Resort is delightful. Of course it is quite simple, but super clean, well maintained and it offers everything you need. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, the service impeccable. Here are a few details about the resort:
ROOMS: Large, comfortable beds. And by far the best mosquito nets we've had in a hotel in years. In a country like Madagascar, an invaluable advantage.
FOOD: A manageable breakfast buffet with no real variety, but perfectly adequate. In the evening there is a set menu with 1 choice. We were really surprised about the quality of the food..
BEACH: World class at low tide! When the sea retreats at low tide, it exposes a huge sandbank of the finest, firm, clean sand on which you can take beautiful walks for miles. At high tide, however, the beach is rather mediocre. TIP: If possible, book your stay on days when the tide is low between 10:00 and 16:00 (see a tide calendar). It is really worth it.
POOL: 2 large pools with lovely clear, cool water.
WIFI: Only in the reception and bar area. Sometimes it works well, sometimes not so well - and sometimes it fails completely. Then you have to switch to the existing 4G/LTE mobile network.
CONCLUSION: We did not expect the PCO Resort to be so beautiful. You can spend a wonderfully relaxing time here. We can highly recommend it.

Wi-Fi service is limited and slow otherwise the room, the food, the service, and the location are fantastic. Right on the beach, with great views for sunset on the Mozambique channel. Definitely recommend.

Other than no WiFi in rooms (and slow in main area), it was perfect. Rooms, food, staff, everything was great! Very romantic.
