Hôtel Auberge de la Table

My favorite place in Madagascar is Auberge de la Table, with its close neighbor, Arboretum d’Antsokay. I love the sincere hospitality, subtle surprises in design, and excellent quality of everything from the goat cheese made on site, to the showers in the bungalows, to the owner’s guidebooks available at the boutique. But most of all I love the opportunity to be close to wildlife. I can get to know the flora & fauna of the Arboretum in daylight or early darkness with a splendid on-site guide, or on my own before dawn. I have even seen mouse lemurs, chameleons, & birds from bungalow patios. There is no other place like it.

Hands down our favourite hotel in Madagascar (at that stage we have discovered 7).
The rooms are spotlessly clean, spacious and nicely decorated. Great bathroom as well.
Everything is impeccably maintained across the whole property.
Staff, especially Brian, Arséne and Angelo catered for all of our needs. We were very impressed with the restaurant - changing menus everyday and every dish was outstanding. Also, the chefs catered for our vegan requests. The breakfast pancakes were a real winner!
Make sure to take advantage of the attached Arboretum- the day and night tour was amazing!

A really lovely place to stay near Toliara. What struck me was the patent attention to detail, everywhere. Outfitting, decoration, restaurant, staff uniform .. everywhere.
In a gentile move, we were personally introduced to Brian, Arsene and Angelo, the main serving staff, when we arrived and everything flowed very smoothly from there.
A lovely bungalow was out temporary home, with a comfy bed, mosquito net and lots of surrounding quiet! There were understandable limits to the Wi-Fi and the hot water, but not restrictive.
Lastly, they went out of their way to craft a vegan menu for all meals for us! And those meals were tasty.
Touring the nearby Arboretum at day and at night is an added benefit.
Highly recommended.

Cutest place in Tuléar, helpful staff, awesome swimming pool and great food

Très calme à l'écart de Tulear, très intégré dans la nature, chants des petits oiseaux. Bungalows très confortables avec exceptionnellement de l'eau en jet puissant, et de l'électricité en continu. le souci du détail est permanent. Personnel aux petits soins. Bon restaurant, petit-déjeuner copieux. Arboretum de qualité, guide très compétent. Hôtel très classe de bon rapport qualité prix.

Sosta al ristorante, eccellente

A really nice spot in a cool little botanical garden that is a little microcosm of the spiny forest. Rooms are very clean and nicely appointed. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the food is good. It's very reasonably priced at $50/night. We're here in the winter so too cold for a dip in the pool, but it looks nice.

Cute place, not expensive. They have 7 bungalows. Of you stay here the entry to Arboretum is free. The place is solar powered, so the hot water availability depends on whether. The bungalow is half covered, but has a mosquito mesh, so you're be fine.
