Simply superb! Spacious and cozy suites, delicacy and fresh cuisine, amiable and hospitable staff and more importantly..spectacular ambience and serenity..Thanks for a memorable and unique stay, Neil. Oh, and don't miss out on the special Kayak and "surprising" boat trip. Absolutely recommended.

We popped in for coffee with friends on the terrace. It's a fantastic place tucked quietly away off the main road overlooking the lagoon. What we saw was certainly a lot higher standard to most. The entrance off the road, through the manicured gardens which were being tended when we entered at 9.15 am. Inside the reception area, sitting rooms out onto the terrace was all just so. The waters edge was less than 30 metres away, and I understand you can get a small boat trip to see flamingos.

Fatastic holiday spot on the lagoon with amazing views . The host was well informed and very knowledgeable of the area ,nothing was to much trouble, The hotel helped us organise a boat ride around the lagoon and transport to get to our next destination. The garden and the property are beautiful . The food was fantastic and so was the service. My only regret was I wish we had more time and could have stayed longer.

This is for the restaurant/ terrace. My friend and I went here to watch the sunset with a drink. The atmosphere was really lovely and relaxed, and the owner/ staff were very helpful & friendly. The food was lovely, we had oysters & John Dory; the oysters in particular were delicious.

Beautiful property. My party didn't stay at this hotel, but we did use their kayaks and eat at the restaurant. The manager speaks English, is friendly, and is happy to give recommendations for all of Oualidia.

Lovely cosy family run Hotel, all the staff were friendly and helpful. The garden staffed by a passionate mature gardener. The garden not only looked beautiful but smelled heavenly. Food especially the oysters were out of this world. Gorgeous view, comfy basic rooms.

Definitely coming back every time I am driving down to Essaouira; Hippocamp restaurant will be my lunch stop.

It was AMAZING! My family and I ABSOLUTELY loved the place. Perfect location for families with young children (and older ones too). They offer many activities (boating, quad, kayak, petanque...etc) for all ages. They are right by the Lagune so the view is just unique. The service is impeccable and the prices are very decent. Loved the food too and highly recommend you consider it for your next family vacay, we know we will be back!

A well managed and maintained resort.Absolutely rich.Worth for the price paid … have a good pool and a coffee shop with a good variety of snacks and drinks.A small Bar to add it up.This is a good place for a peaceful stay in Oualidia.They a a beautiful garden too ❤

We loved our stay at L'Hippocampe. Neil and Irina (the owners) welcomed us upon arrival and we felt like coming home even thigh this was our first visit. The hotel is wonderfully located right by the water with breathtaking views over the blue Lagoon. The terrace overlooks the water and one is served drinks and food by very friendly and smiling service staff. The room (Apartment) was very clean and held in a charming design with fresh colors. The atmosphere at L'Hippocampe was overall very nice and it was a welcome change from the hustle and bustle of the City we live in. Thank You to Irina and Neil and the team at L'Hippocampe - we will be back.

A beautifuly located hotel / restaurant. We only visited the restaurant's terrace. Amazing place to have a drink and watch the sunset.

Called with friends to have a sneaky coffee one morning. Friendly and attentive staff, coffee was very nice.

Great views over the lagoon, gorgeous hotel gardens but best of all the owners are super friendly and make you feel like family during your stay!
