Dar El Mandar

Dar el Mandar is one of the nicest hotel that we have been to in Morocco. From the view, the confort and decoration of the rooms up to the wonderful restaurant , the team all was perfect and we are looking forward to come back. We spend wonderful days to hide away from urban life there. Next time we ll go to visit Fes from there as it is not far away.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Dar al Mandar in Morocco, and I must say, it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The moment I stepped through the doors, I was greeted with warm Moroccan hospitality that instantly made me feel at home.

The attention to detail in the design of the rooms and common areas is truly commendable. Every corner is adorned with traditional Moroccan decor, creating an authentic and inviting ambiance. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort, making sure that every need was met with a smile.

One of the highlights of my stay was undoubtedly the delectable Moroccan cuisine served at the onsite restaurant. The flavors and aromas were a feast for the senses, and I couldn't get enough of the local delicacies.

Dar al Mandar's location is also worth mentioning. Situated in a charming neighborhood, it provided a peaceful retreat away from the bustling city center, yet still conveniently close to key attractions.

Whether you're looking for a cultural immersion, a relaxing getaway, or simply a place to unwind and recharge, I wholeheartedly recommend Dar al Mandar. My time there was nothing short of magical, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit to this hidden gem in Morocco.

This place is incredibly beautiful. We stayed for four nights and had an amazing time. It's about 30 mins outside of Fez - we rented a car and used it as base to explore a number of nearby towns (Meknes Mouley Idris Azrou). The pool was nice and peaceful - the tranquility of the place in the evening is out of this world. The kids loved the farm animals at the property.

"Dar Al-mandar " becomes a haven that opens its windows to picturesque landscapes, where the charm of architectural design meets the beauty of natural surroundings. It becomes a place that reflects the splendor of views and the beauty of the surrounding environment.

We had a wonderfull stay at Dar alMandar. Hamza was a great host. Diner and breakfast so so good. Especially the Tajine is delicious!! The view is amazinggg. So peaceful. We really recommend this beautiful idyllic place.

During my stay, I visited nearby towns like Fez, Ifrane, and Sefrou's waterfall, which was an amazing experience. The town's rich history and culture were truly captivating, and I was grateful to have had the opportunity to explore them.

Dar El Mandar is one of the best places to stay in near Fez. The views are amazing, the service is on point and the food is freshly prepared by the local staff. It is a mandatory stop for me each time I go visit Morocco. This place is so peaceful and clean that it is impossible to leave.

Insanely pretty place, that is well thought through. Dar El Mandar has a multitude of details that give every element its own identity and still blend in with the mountain that encompasses the hotel. This is where a modern vision and traditional Moroccan culture are carefully blended. Anyone that stays here is going to feel at peace.

This placer is beyond words. The location that allows you to rest, absorbing the magnificence of Morocco, sustainably immersing with Mother Nature. This place does not go against nature. It compliments it and the communities around. For a human rights lawyer and scholar that I am this is most important.
The rooms that are meticulously designed. To say clean would be an insulte to such a pristine place.
The food that is single handedly created to fit your desires, needs and preferences.
The service that is personal and kind. To say friendly would be an understatement.
The owners, Samira and Jawad, who are both kind and intellectually engaged. Their generosity is remarkable.
It has a chic and charm that is not elitist nor socially alienating. A place you can breathe and rest with quiet and serenity. My son and I love the this place, touched by God. We come here often, and wish that we could come even more.
Do not think twice. This place is worth it. And you will worth this place. You will love it.

One of the best hotel experiences I've ever had!
PROS: Gorgeous, quiet, lovely, romantic, chill, superb staff, safe, comfortable beds, high quality/variety food, free parking, hot water in shower.
CONS: far outside Fez ($40 cab ride from Fez train station), not inexpensive, cash only, showerhead didn't work great, wifi works only on half of property.

I find that the most important feature a hotel can have is giving you the feeling of being at home. This place excels at this, with its friendly personnel, thoughtful owner, and delicious food. The pool and the rooms were also fantastic. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a time-out from everyday life.

What a pleasant surprise this place is, not a single negative to mention, what a fantastic breakfast, you won't experience this anywhere else, top quality! An absolute must for everyone.

A hidden gem in the mountains! Beautiful location, stylish rooms, and great hospitality. Every corner of the villa is picturesque. Highly recommended for a group getaway or intimate wedding.

An authentic place, definitely worth visiting ! The pool in a wonderful place, you can swim and see the land far around. Enjoyed every moment there, everyone was so welcoming, the staff and services were great and exceptional. Will definitely be there soon.

My first reaction was : OMG! I found my little paradise on Earth (and I'm not overating it): amazing view, amazingly kind people, close to nature, a lot of me-time... Exactly what I needed!! Dar el Mandar is a heaven of aestetic housing and outdoor leasure spaces built into the hillside overlooking the Fes valey.
Our extended family of 6 adults and 5 children, aged between 13 and 2 years, were received with generous hospitality and attentiveness to our wishes and needs.
We were all amazed by the sights and athmosphere, which grew on us during the six day long stay – and now remains in our souls. Thank you for having opened this beautiful refuge to us.

Dar el Mandar is a true oasis of tranquility and hospitality nestled away into a mountain side with a stunning view of Fez and the surrounding plains. The property is designed with great attention to detail - minimalism paired with traditional Moroccon style. It is elegant and luxurious, but down to earth at the same time. We spent 2 nights here to enjoy a full-day break of relaxation, sandwiched into an otherwise pretty packed itinerary of exploring Morocco. We couldn’t have been happier with our decision. Dar el Mandar was the perfect place to find some peace and quiet, and to recharge our batteries before diving back into the bustle of Fez. The rooms are clean and tastefully furnished, the staff was extremely attentive and they served excellent food as well. If we ever come back to Morocco we will make sure to spend a few nights here, Inshallah :)
