I liked the hospitality of owners, Rachid is very friendly and honest, really helpful with many advises about surfing (not only in Taghazout). The house is calm, clean and well maintained, facilities are good. Absolutely loved this place, it’s $13 USD/night which is a little expensive for a hostel in Morocco, however it’s not at all expensive. It’s also well worth the money. You really feel like you’re staying at someone’s home. Rachid, the owner is an amazing guy and my friend and I had some long conversations with him at night. He’s very helpful and will tell you the real price you should expect to pay for anything. He also rents out wetsuits for 3€/day which is very fair. He will also give you advice on the surf breaks and where to go/paddle out.

Don’t get scammed and stay somewhere in tamghrat or another surf camp here that charges you exuberant western prices for “surf guides” who show you around. I learned after my first trip to Indonesia that unless you cannot physically get to a break without a boat, you don’t need to pay anyone to take you to a break. I was looking at original surf Morocco in tamghrat initially and they charge 500€ for a week stay with meals included and a “surf guide” but all they do is take you a few miles north to taghazout and take you to breaks that you could walk to if you stay there in taghazout. And meals are super cheap on the street or even in restaurants.

Overall Rachid and his surf house are great and within walking distance from anchor point and all the other breaks. Although, his other rooms listed on Airbnb are pretty expensive. I paid $13/night for the 5 bed mixed dorm and only 1 other guy was there with us. We initially booked 2 nights but ended up staying for 5. I will come back to taghazout again at some point and it’s no question I will stay with Rachid, he makes you feel like family, and their place is beautiful. Has good hot water and WiFi as well, the place is very clean too. It really feels like home while you’re staying here.

Rachid and Alis at Africa surf hostel er de venligste værter du kan forestille dig. Skønt deres hostel er simpelt er her hyggeligt og rent. Perfekt sted at tage på surftur fra.

This place is good If you want to chill and have good time, food beds, not super clean but acceptable. The crew is simply excellent, they'll get what you need and you will feel at home.

I'd recomend it, and I'll be back.
