Sun House Morocco - Surf & Yoga

I stayed 6 days and it was the best 6 days of my life.
The room was clean, the food was good (I could ask for what I wanted to eat! !), the staff was extremely nice, and the organization was great.
The place is 2km away from Taghazout, but it was calming and relaxing. The view from the room was incredible, and you can go stargazing during the night ;)
You feel like you're home, and the vibe is good. The place is not too noisy, but it's not dead either (for me, it was a perfect balance).
As a female solo traveler, I had no problem, and I never felt alone during my trip. I also never felt in danger or in discomfort. Actually, I had a lot of fun and met really nice people <3.
The surf lessons were cool, and I discovered so many different surf spots. If you ask to, you can also visit other places like Agadir or Imsouane. Houcine was a good guide, and he explained to me many things about the Berbere population and their habits.
The only thing I have to advise you on is to plan your days, and have a plan B if the weather is not good.

I'm sure I'll be back in Taghazout and surely back at the Sunhouse :)

My friends and I had a great week here. We had the room on the third floor. The staff was friendly, they could tell us in the morning on which beach the waves would be good. Renting a board and wetsuit was possible for a good price. We met lots of other people while sharing dinner and breakfast, or at the pool at night.

I had a wonderful experience at Sun House Morocco. The surroundings are beautiful and the rooftop has incredible views of the mountains and beach. A peaceful place outside the centre of Taghazout. The rooms and facilities were clean.

I am truly grateful for the team who were so attentive during my stay. From surfing lessons, airport transfers, lifts to dinner and breakfast (the food was amazing) - nothing was too much trouble for them to organise. They go above and beyond to take care of their guests.

I had an incredible stay at this picturesque hostel! The warm and friendly atmosphere immediately made me feel at home. The staff was exceptionally welcoming and attentive to all my needs, making my stay even more memorable. Additionally, the hostel was conveniently located. I really enjoyed the stay at Sun House Morocco, all the people working there we're very nice. Food was very delicious, surf classes were super and I also really liked the extra activities (e.g. sandboarding). I would totally recommend and love to come back one day!

In the autumn, I visited a place called Sunhouse Surf House, and I can confidently say that it was an unforgettable adventure. From the very first moments, my stay here was simply amazing.

The living conditions at Sunhouse were beyond praise: comfortable rooms, an atmosphere of coziness, and impeccable cleanliness. I felt right at home, or maybe even better.

The food was a delightful revelation for me. From exquisite Moroccan dishes to homemade cuisine, every meal became a true culinary delight. The flavors of Morocco were simply outstanding!

But what truly sets Sunhouse apart is the attitude of the staff and the hospitality of the owner, Hussein. He went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was unforgettable. Hussein is a true professional and a warm-hearted host who pays attention to every detail.

The surfing instructor I had the privilege of spending time with was not only experienced but also incredibly charismatic. His passion for surfing and his ability to impart his knowledge made the lessons truly unforgettable.

I would like to recommend Sunhouse to anyone who loves surfing and is looking for a real adventure. Here, you can not only enjoy the waves but also immerse yourself in the unique culture of Morocco. Sunhouse is not just a place for relaxation; it's a place to create memories that will stay with you for a lifetime.

I traveled solo and didn’t feel lonely as the surfing instructors, and Houcine are incredibly friendly, helpful and professional
The rooms are very confortable and insure good nights sleeps after a long day at the beach, a jacuzzi is also available at a symbolic price
Other than surf and yoga, Houcine also accommodates day trips to must see spots of the area
I will definitely go back and recommend to anyone visiting town

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Sun House Morocco Hostel and I can confidently say that it was one of the best hostel experiences I've ever had. The hostel has a fantastic location with stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
The staff at the hostel were incredibly welcoming and friendly, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. They were always available to answer any questions I had and provide helpful tips for exploring the city.

One of the things that really stood out to me about this hostel was the amazing breakfast that was included in the stay. It was a delicious spread of local delicacies and freshly baked bread that really set me up for the day ahead.

Back in the mountains of taghazout Sun House is your best bet if you want to score the famous right handers of the area during the day and have a chilli place of retreat in the night. Everyone is helpful and prices are more than fair. I RECOMMEND.

Morocco is a developing country, their tourist industry is in its infancy period but nothing beats Maroccans welcoming and within few minutes you'll feel as if they were friends all your life.

Our experience at this hostel was truly exceptional, and I must emphasise that this review is entirely objective. While it may not boast the opulence of a 5-star resort, it undoubtedly earns the title of an excellent hostel.
The staff's friendliness and warm hospitality stood out, making us feel like part of their family. As a family of five with three energetic teenage boys, we embarked on new adventures like surfing, quad biking, and sand surfing at sunset – and what a blast it was!
The manager Hocien was truly remarkable, he arranged these thrilling activities at very affordable prices adding to the overall enjoyment of our trip. Special mention for Mohammed, he provided that human touch to everything and felt as if our boys knew him for years, truly enjoying the activities despite their soft nature.

Furthermore, the hostel's cleanliness was commendable. From the common areas to the dorms, everything was well-maintained, contributing to a hygienic and comfortable environment. Even on a budget, we found the amenities to be more than sufficient for our needs.

There is of course some room for development, personally I would like to see a couple of varieties added to the breakfast menu, even some cereal would enhance it. Time keeping could be improved slightly although this was at times affected by actual guests.

In conclusion, if you're seeking a delightful, affordable stay with a friendly and accommodating staff, and are eager to explore thrilling activities nearby, this hostel is an excellent choice. Our family had an unforgettable time, and we would gladly return for another adventure-filled vacation.

I had a wonderful experience at The Sun House Morocco. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The communal areas were really nice and made it easy to get to know other guests. The swimming pool was very refreshing after a day surfing. LaHoucine and his staff were amazing and went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. If you are wanting a surf and yoga retreat, this is a great choice. They organised everything making it a real hassle-free holiday. (the surf was fab too) I highly recommend The Sun House Morocco. It was a great vacation! The perfect mix of surfing and yoga. The team is incredibly sweet and helpful and they have prepared us a great week. The rooms are beautiful and the food is very tasty. We will definitely be back and are already looking forward to it!

Room was clean and with good views out to the bay. Hostel was in a nice quiet area and very relaxing if that’s what you’re after! Surf coaching was great and learnt a lot. All the staff very accommodating and helpful!

Wow! We had such a great stay here. Feels more like you are visiting a family than you are in a hotel, without any obligations. Great location just up the hill in Taghazout. Super easy communication. Nice and quiet rooms. Nice pool. Best atmosphere.

I had an amazing stay at sunhouse morocco! The accommodation was nice and clean! The stuff is very friendly, and you can ask them for everything. Surf lessons were great. I improved myself alot! We were at different beaches, which was really nice! We even went sandsurfing which was also funny.

Wonderful and comfortable place , with a beautiful sea and mountains view , we enjoyed our staying at the hostel.

We had the best time staying here. All of the staff are so warm and friendly, making us the most delicious food and ferrying us around wherever we would like to go. The hostel is super cosy, with lots of places to hangout, and with epic views! Thank you so much Houssine and crew. We will seriously miss you. X

A real favorite for the Sun house. All the staff were lovely and caring.
The facilities are top notch but I would say that it is really the welcome of the whole team that makes you feel at home. I would definitely go back!
