Musee des Oasis

A must stop on the way to Merzouga. Order food at the nearby restaurant then visit that most interesting museum on Moroccan culture whilst delicious food gets prepared. Plenty of explanations translated in several languages including French, English and Spanish. Many artefacts on show. Our kids loved it. Place is run by a women cooperative

Hidden gem. Our guide stopped here and we winded our way through the pathways of this old abandoned Kasbah until we came to a door with no signage. We were surprised by the number of artifacts and amount of information. Much of it is not translated into English so it helps to have someone with you who can translate or explained. We paid 20 dirham each to enter. It was worth it.

Our guide had not been here in 15 years and wasn’t sure it was worth the time to stop. He was surprised how much it has changed.

A museum well worth a visit! Far away from the typical other tourist attractions/destinations, this one is a small hidden gem in Morocco. We enjoyed it a lot! Seeing a historical Ksar, plus friendly ladies doing traditional handcrafts. Any time again!

A hidden gem, by far the best museum in Morocco. It allows you to understand what life was like in the oases and why today the people of these regions are like this.

Very nice museum for only 20 Durham (June 2023). They had many informative signs explaining the shown items in up to 8 languages.

Small museum that demonstrates life in small Berber towns. It's around three floors. There are some interesting jewish artifacts from the local Jewish population. Some of their Hebrew is mistranslated though.

THE BEST MUSEUM In WHOLE MAROCO ! !

It's a little bit difficult in find your way there between the houses of the village, but if you do, you gonna be rewarded by the exhibition. There is no entry fee and despite that fact from donations the museum has a fully modernized exhibition about the national tribe history of Maroco.

Located inside the Ksar of ElKhorbat, the museum is a must stop for everyone interested to know or learn about the life of different cultures and populations living in the desert and oasis areas of Sahara. With 3 levels, on an over 150 years old traditional building, more than 1000 items are exhibited within 26 rooms.Entry fee: 20 dirhams. Totally worth it. Allow some extra time to visit the rest of the Ksar with its underground or covered streets and pathways.

Nous avons adoré. C'était très enrichissant. Un très beau musée.

Très chouette endroit.
Les enfants nous ont guidé vers l entrée du musée, nous avions appelé avant et elle s'est adaptée à notre horaire. Nous aurions voulu y passer plus de temps.
Les explications sont en plusieurs langues, on peut acheter quelques tissus brodés, le prix affiché indique le détail entre ce qui revient à l'association, à la femme qui brode, aux achats de materiaux.

Ce musée est à visiter pour la richesse historique de ses objets exposés dans un dédale de petites pièces de terre battue. Notre guide a été d'un grand secours pour nous fournir les explications nécessaires.

Super musée dans la Kasbah, accueil sympathique de femmes qui vendent leur travail.
A faire absolument !

Formidable travail de sauvegarde et de recensement du patrimoine historique, agricole, artisanal, social, technique, culturel. Explications disponibles dans plusieurs langues, la visite peut être rapide en 30 min ou plus longue selon les souhaits, et vaut le détour.
Ne pas hésiter à se restaurer dans l’auberge restaurant juste à côté.

Musée vraiment très intéressant dans le Ksar de Tinejdad. Tout est bien expliqué et facile d'accès (traduit en plusieurs langues). Le musée traverse une maison typique et bien entretenue. Le personnel est très gentil et pour 20dh il ne faut pas hésiter.

Musée très intéressant disponible en beaucoup de langues, on y apprends la culture de la région, à la fin on peut aussi acheter des étoles faites sur place par les femmes du village ( on a vu la femme broder devant nous )
