I couldn't buy anything due to my limited baggage, but Salah was extremely nice and helpful and let me try several instruments, including an amplified utar. Judging by the sound of the instruments and content of the shop, this is a totally legit music shop and not a tourist trap. Nice price too, around what you'd expect for a beginner's instrument
