The food here was wonderful, top notch! You can taste the care taken to prepare everything from scratch and with great care. The beef prune tagine is world class, a must try. Every dish we had was also at the highest level. Typically I don't leave reviews, but the owner here is also a genuinely caring human being and an absolute honor to meet in our travels through Morocco. I will remember our meal here and our experience in meeting such a kind person for the rest of my life!

This is a great place to eat typical Moroccan dishes in a great atmosphere. The restaurant has a nice courtyard, with a beautiful and calm atmosphere. The owner is very friendly and the food is excellent. Chicken Pastilla and Tajine de boeuf aux pruneaux et amandes were one of the best we had in our stay in Morocco. Definitely a great place to sit and enjoy a nice Moroccan meal.

Really beautiful restaurant in a tiny hidden street. Excellent food and such a nice host. We spend a lovely evening here and would totally recommend to include this restaurant into any travel plans to Marrakesh.

I think it's one of the best dining experiences of my life. The owner is fantastic, really it's like going to a friend's house and the host is serving top notch food in a fantastic courtyard. It was not busy when we went. It's a laid back experience, and we tried many things from couscous, tagine, soup (which was given free due to a slight wait.) morroccon starters , morroccon tea.. ( we went again the next night, because their food was the best we ate in Marrakech. ) Thanks sir for your hospitality, we wish you the best.

5 stars are not enough for this AMAZING food. If you want to try something carefully handmade, hearty, and delicious, stop whatever you're doing and come eat here. It's pretty obvious that this food is homemade by someone that puts love into it.

My last night in Marrakech I decided to wander and stumbled upon Montana by accident. This family-owned restaurant has a nondescript facade with a small sign at the intersection (located near PepeNero, which is a chain I’ve seen in Munich). I ordered the vegetable soup purée and the cous cous with chicken.

From start to finish the meal was a delight. The soup was fresh, light and creamy, soothing, and served at the perfect temperature - hot. In my travel experience soups can be over-seasoned or made too salty, this was perfect.

The cous cous was also just as fresh. The presentation was lovely with a garnish of sweet carmelized onions. The cous cous was light and fluffy and the chicken fell off the bone. What was best about this meal is it was not overdone with oil and fat, which can leave you feeling tired.

Food prep takes some time (10-15 mins for soup, 15-20 for cous cous) - in my opinion worth the wait.

Based on my dining experience I hope this family stays in business for many years to come.

This place was such a hidden gem! I am upset we didn’t come back to eat here because it was the best food I had during my time in Marrakech. I still think about the beef and prune tagine and the orange juice! The service was wonderful and the ambiance was great for a late dinner. Highly recommend it

A hidden gem in the less frequented, less commercial part of the Medina. A warm greeting awaits for a relaxed and sophisticated meal of traditional Moroccan (although pasta dishes for those who want something European). The service is not rapid, but the food is home cooked and therefore it's to be expected. A meal here is a social occasion, in an amazing environment with a friendly host - don't expect to be in and out quickly.

Great home style food in a beautiful Riad setting with a super friendly owner and waiters. The beef tagine was one of the best we had in Marrakesh - definitely recommended compared to the highly rated restaurants you will see in Marrakech

Delicious! Quiet and in a spacious garden. Best Moroccan food we’ve had. We didn’t fancy the spaghetti as much, but the traditional cuisine was wonderful

This was the best dining experience we have had in Marrakech, a hidden gem off the beaten path. The ambiance of the restaurant was extremely inviting and beautifully decorated with a center courtyard. We loved all the food, from the picked vegetables to briouates and the delicious fish and beef tagines. The vegetable couscous was the perfect finish. Our server was very kind and attentive and offered fresh mint tea at the end of the meal. We highly recommend this family establishment and would definitely come back again.

We ate at A.Montana two times, because for us it was the best restaurant of that kind in the medina. This restaurant is not just an oasis of tranquillity, it also offers great traditional Moroccan cuisine. In comparison to most other restaurants in that area the food is super tasty at a fair price. The service is very welcoming and considerate. You will not be disappointed. Bring some time to enjoy the food and relax.

Best food and best atmosphere we had in Marrakesh. If you are lucky you can enjoy the place for yourself which gives you a feeling of a romantic private dining.

Recently reopened. Great classic moroccon food (Tagine/couscous/appetizers). Very well priced Prix-fixe. Beautiful space in the garden of a riad.

Note: restaurant is a little hidden, keep your eye out for the gate at the entrance. It may appear closed but the staff will let you in.

This place was one of the highlights of our trip to Marrakech. My biggest regret is not having eaten here earlier (we came here on the last day of the trip), because I would've eaten there every day! The food is fresh and so delicious. There is enough variety in the menu that there's something for all diet types. Very fair prices for the area.

The staff members are absolute gems. They are kind, attentive, honest and generous. Take the time to speak with them, you'll learn so much about the riad, its restoration and the Medina. It's of the beaten path, nobody here will try to pull you into the restaurants and shops like in the touristy parts of the Medina.

It is by reservation only, so be sure to call in advance. If you are a big group, I recommend that you tell them your menu choices in advance so that they can be prepared and that you wait less. We were 9, had entrées, tagines, couscous and desserts, and we were served very quickly upon arrival. There's no alcohol license, but the mint tea is excellent. The prune beef tagine is a must!

I miss this restaurant already and will definitely recommend it to all my friends who visit Marrakech.

Amazing food, you should definitely try it out. We were at Marrakesh for 4 days, and everyday we would return to A. Montana for our dinner. Rabbit tazine was very tasty, and the harissa soup!

A wonderful quiet place just a little of the beaten path. The food is fantastic and delightfully different from the run-of-the-mill morrocian food found at so many other places in the area. The wait is well worth it.
