Great waterfalls and the surroundings! I definitely recommend visiting. There were only a few tourists here during the morning. Parking is nearby. Admission is free. You can see the waterfalls from both above and below. If you stop for an orange juice, lunch, and souvenirs, you'll probably spend about two hours there. Upstairs, you can take photos with the monkeys, and downstairs, you can take a boat ride right under the waterfall.

Keep your expectations in check, especially if you're driving hours just to seem them!

Personally, my March visit to the falls was a delight. There were very few visitors, no crowds. The falls themselves are picturesque, complete with rainbows, and the surrounding valley and cliffs add to the beauty, but they're not overwhelmingly impressive. They're not as massive as some might expect.

Our tour guide Younes was great, and enjoyed learning about the distribution of olive trees among the Berber village's populace. Observing a population of Barbary macaques in their natural habitat was a highlight. Rowing (or rather unsuccessfully trying to row) a boat beneath the falls added a fun and memorable element to the trip, you'll just ask the guy on your boat! The water was clean and I would've taken a dip if I had been prepared.

Note that there is a hike down to the bottom of the falls, which will be more than manageable to anyone in shape, especially with a guide leading the way. I barely noticed the descent.

Big waterfall, second biggest in Africa. Very local. Many nice local restaurants where you can soak in the good views of the waterfall while having a nice lunch (~130 MAD per set including drinks). Few berber monkeys to be seen. Nice boat ride (10-20 MAD) which gets you up close to the waterfall and guide will help you take nice photos. Nice rainbow in the waterfall as well. Scenic 2.5 hours easy drive from marrakesh. Recommend for a quick day trip :)

One of the most beautiful locations I’ve seen the clay pink soil against the green olive trees in the mountains make this place standout for good reason! It’s a walk down into the bottom of the falls themselves, we were part of a tour & visited a Berber house learning a little about the people and their culture. Moving down towards the falls, meeting wild monkeys along the way, who will jump on you encouraged or not. In arriving at the bottom you can board a boat which will take you close to the bottom of the waterfall itself and it’s a breathtaking view.

Highly recommend a visit if you are able.

Take: sunscreen, sensible footwear, water and hat for shade, local currency for souvenirs available for purchase both on the way down/up the mountain.

Lunch: venues accept card or cash.

This was an unforgettable experience! We booked a tour for 20€ from Marrakech and it was amazing. The place is extremely beautiful, with astonishing views of the waterfalls. You have wild monkeys in the valley which you can take pictures with. There is rich culture and history of making products from olives and karob. You will visit one of the restaurants in the valley that provides very tasty food for reasonable price (10€). 10/10 recommend visiting if you are in Morocco. Get a tour guide for this place, ours made it very memorable.

Worth visiting definitely. Second highest waterfalls in Africa according to the guide. 120m. There is quite some climbing, so make sure you wear comfortable shoes. We had lunch at one of the restaurants (that the tour guide) brought us to. 3 course meal for 2 was 250 dh. But I would recommend to eat at any near by restaurants you see, they were grilling food on the terraces and I presume you'll get it cheaper as well. Quite a few tourist shops are around as well, make sure you negotiate the price.

Ouzoud Falls is a beautiful great day trip from Marrakesh, Morocco. Although the journey there is long, it is well worth it.

The hike to the falls offers stunning views, and visitors can also enjoy boat rides and encounter local Barbary macaques along the way. It’s a must-visit destination for nature lovers and photographers seeking a picturesque escape.

Stunning waterfalls, monkeys, selection of reasonably priced restaurants.
Guided tour (approx €5) recommended- mine took 2 hrs from the bottom of the valley and the 'lesser' falls all the way up to the top.
Boat rides available at the plunge pool at the bottom of the main falls.
No swimming allowed.
If you're staying in Marrakech then a trip on a minibus will take approx 3hrs to get there and 3hrs to get back so be prepared. Despite this journey time it was well worth the trip.

Must visit place. Doesn't matter if you will use agency for the travel or it will be self organized. Beautiful and amazing. Don't miss the boat trip and to get free shower 😊 🚿

Beautiful place! The parking lot is located near the waterfalls, costs about 10 dirhams, and there are many bars/restaurants in the area. It is possible to take a local guide on site.

An amazing place with a selection of restaurants with amazing view overlooking the waterfall. The food very nice. Make sure you wear appropriate footwear if you are planning on walking the trails. Be prepared to climb lots of stairs if nothing else. The view of the waterfall is amazing from below and you can hire a boat to go right in to the waterfall (not recommended) if you fancy getting wet.

There are wild monkeys at top, beware of the locals who will try to sell you food or offer to take photos of you for extortionate prices. Decline their offer!!

Beautiful place. Really nice short path around. When we were there, begining of march there was no much people. Still they are charging you for parking and trying to sell you stuff on the way. Be prepared.

Great way to see Morocco and one of its Jewels. Stunning scenery. The monkeys are hilarious as well. If you book a tour, you also get some beautiful food as well.

This place if one of the best in our country Morocco, It is so natural and traditional, I really like it. The people are also so kind. If you are a tourist, I advice you to visit this place, but be careful about the mountain. You won’t need to anyone to guide you because it is so easy to do it.

It's nice place but very touristic. It's totally better when groups are leaving and you have enough space to make nice pictures, get some nuts for monkeys!
By the way it's free to visit

Beautiful waterfall which we experienced with a guide - Mohammed was really friendly and knowledgeable. We had lunch. at one of the restaurants next to the waterfall with an amazing few (12€ pP). We also did a boat tour which takes you right under the waterfall (it was 1€/10dh) worth it in our opinion but not necessary.
Plenty of monkeys.

We were met by a local guide. He stayed with us for the whole walk. He was very knowledgeable and was interesting. He kept us informed all the way. The lunch stop was nice too. 120D each; either a tagine or kebab, fruit & water.
The monkeys are wild animals, don’t let them bite you. Do not feed the monkeys human food ! They’re getting too lazy to forage.
The boat trip was fun !
All in all a great day out !

Beautiful place, amazing experience feeding the wild monkey, if you take the boy in the entrance as a guide is even better he takes you to the little house where you can buy pure homemade organic oil, you can drink fresh squeeze orange juice and from the roof of the little house the chance of to see the monkeys are bigger..... And kids can get the ride on the monkeys to the top of the hills when you get back from the waterfalls

Despite the long drive from the main Marrakech site, Ouzoud Waterfalls is definitely worth the travel. Its view is really breathtaking, & people there are very friendly as well. I have had the best chicken tagine here, too. ⭐

This has gotta be one of the most beautiful and relaxing waterfalls that I have been to. If your ever local to marrakech then I recommend going to visit here. It's roughly about 2 hour drive from marrakech bur if you haven't got a car then speak to anyone who does excursions but expect to pay around 250 to 350dh per person
