Maâmora is a natural region of Morocco whose unity is defined according to two scientific points of view:

a geological-geomorphological unit,
a botanical unit.

This part is summed up according to Lepoutre and Combes (19671). "The Mamora, from the geological point of view, is a vast Quaternary platform that extends from the ocean between Rabat and Kenitra, up to 70 km to the south. the interior of the country, limited to the S by the Bou-Regreg valley and the foothills of the central plateau and to the N by the Gharb plain ".
