Perfect location. Not too close to the craziness, not too far from it either. Mohammed was the perfect host. Very kind and welcoming. Soufyan was also great. Boutique style. Very intimate. Decor is authentic Moroccan. Nice simple breakfast to start the day. Very informative. Willing to book anything, rides or activities. Would recommend and stay again.

The Riad is breathtakingly beautiful (even more than the photos show), very clean and well-located. The breakfast and the dinner are very delicious. Soufiane, Mohamed and the whole staff are the picture-book definition of hospitality. I highly recommend this Riad and will be more than happy to come back.

We had a wonderful experience at Riad Mehdia. It's a beautiful oasis in the heart of the Medina.

The staff were unfailingly kind, friendly, and helpful. They took good care of us and made us feel like family. The rooms were lovely, and we loved our hammam treatments and massages.

The beds and pillows are quite firm, but our party of six (a couple in our mid-40s, our two kids aged 11 and 14, and our mothers in their 70s) all did okay.

The location is perfect: it's just off the best shopping street in the Medina, and it's a quick walk to the main square at Jemaa el Fna. There are excellent restaurants nearby. (Don't miss Naranj, the best Lebanese restaurant I've ever been to.) We're very glad we stayed here.

I actually stayed here last year but having just visited Marrakech again and having stayed at another riad, I must recommend Riad Mehdia also. Take the room on the terrace if you don’t mind stairs — you can open the window at night and the crisp air is a delight for good sleep. The decor is very tastefully done with traditional character but with modern bathroom fixtures. High standard of housekeeping too.

And what a terrace! Aspects of both the Koutoubia mosque and the Atlas Mountains, and very quiet. I would have been happy to lie on the sun loungers and look at the sky all day. Only point to note is that you can’t really get wifi in the terrace room (thick walls, but also no noise!).

The location is also fantastic, just a few turns off Jemaa el Fna and well-lit at night. Felt very safe coming back late as a solo female traveller.

I did not get to meet Julien but was looked after very well by Soufiane and Mohamed, who are so gracious and hospitable.

This place is an absolute gem. We ended up here by mere accident after our planned riad refused to honor our Expedia reservation, and I am so happy we did! Sofian and Mohammed were excellent hosts, very friendly, helpful and attentive. Our room was gorgeous, clean and inviting. Breakfast was served every morning and the staff always accommodated our schedule. We had hammam spa and massage in the riad and it was a wonderful, relaxing experience. Highly recommend this stay!!!

From the moment we stepped into this enchanting riad in the heart of Marrakesh, we knew our stay would be something special. The hosts, true embodiments of hospitality, went above and beyond to ensure our experience was not just comfortable, but genuinely memorable.

Their attention to detail was evident in every aspect of our stay. They seamlessly arranged excursions for us, including a breathtaking trip to the Atlas Mountains. The hotel staff walked us right to the car to make sure we were safe and got in with the right one, the driver was excellent at navigating the crazy traffic and the friendly and ridiculously knowledgeable sherpa was good fun showing us around the mountains and made the journey an adventure in itself.

We also indulged in the riad's traditional Hammam deep exfoliation, a rejuvenating bath experience with natural Moroccan black soap and Rhassoul clay, followed by a wonderfully relaxing full body massage.

Our visit over Christmas was made extra special by the hosts. Despite being the only guests at the time, they prepared a heartwarming Moroccan Christmas meal that made us feel right at home. Their kindness extended further when they upgraded our room, a gesture we greatly appreciated.

Nights in Marrakesh can get chilly in winter and the Riads are built to stay cool. They provided us with a heater and extra blankets, ensuring our nights were still comfortable..

We were served with delicious breakfasts and dinners. and they always made sure we left well fed (even when we woke up late) Yet, they encouraged us to explore the local cuisine, and rightly so – the restaurants at the bottom of the road are a must-try!

We spent an entire day on the terrace, basking in the sun, sipping tea, and getting lost in a good book, all while being surrounded by stunning views. Its location in the middle of the souks meant that the vibrant hustle and bustle of Marrakesh was right out the front door.

We cannot recommend this riad enough. It felt very safe and welcoming and was the perfect place to retreat to after a day of exploring the sights of Marrakesh.

Literally the best place I ever stayed at in the world. Look no further for a place to stay in Marrakech. Very central to everything, everything is within walking distance. Building is lovely with a lot of the original fixture and fittings. Breakfast is different everyday. Room is lovely and the Aircon is such a life saver. Pool very good for cooling down after a long day.

But what made the trip amazing was the staff at the Riad - Mohamed and Soufiane and the rest of the team. Nothing was ever too much trouble, extremely attentive, accommodating. I am not exaggerating when I say they made the trip. The sights, the culture and the food were all amazing but it is how we have been treated while we stayed at the Riad that is making this trip unforgettable. We are 100% coming back. I am still sat by the pool now waiting for our airport transfer and I am already looking at dates to come back

My girlfriend and I had the most wonderful time at Riad Mehdia. The staff were so lovely and incredibly attentive - nothing was ever an issue. The room was absolutely stunning (we stayed in one of the rooms in the rooftop). Breakfast was also fantastic and included different dishes everyday - a really nice touch. Location was perfect too, right in the heart of the hustle and bustle of the old city. We honestly couldn't have asked for a better riad to stay at while in Marrakech. It made our trip all the more special so thank you to all the staff at Riad Mehdia (in particular Mohammed who was always there to look after us). We will definitely be staying here whenever we visit Marrakech again!

We had a perfect stay at Riad Mehdia. The staff was exceptionally hospitable and mindful. Especially the very sweet Sakaria was a pleasure to have around. During our 5 days of stay we were nothing but comfortable and well advised by the staff.

Great location for a place to stay in Marrakech. Staff goes above and beyond to make sure you have a good time in Marrakech and can help with arranging various activities and needs. Make sure to try the hammam at the hotel or inside the city during your stay.

Absolutely amazing place Riad Mehdia! We spent there 3 days in a beautiful room with a private terrace. Every morning the breakfast they served was a celebration and the whole place was very oriental, well taken care of, clean and well located

It's a very comfortable Riad, we've been here during 3 nights and everything has been really nice. Good attention, nice rooms and the breakfast is spectacular. It's my first time at Morrocco, and I can imagine there are even better Riads at the Medina, but this one has reeeeally liked me. :)

This is a very nice riad; clean and comfortable rooms, some with private terrasses, there is a beautiful and big roofterrasse with much furniture and sunbeds, lovely to have breakfast there, and the breakfast is sooo good. The people who works there are nice and helpful. And the location is perfect, easy to find and Just a short walk to Jema El Fna.
I would love to visit again

My friend and I stayed at the riad 5 nights. A beautiful, traditional old style riad in the heart of the city, walking distance to key sites. All staff were extremely hospitable and welcoming particularly Mohammed and Sufiyan. Rooms were cleaned to a high standard. We enjoyed a delicious traditional meal on the first night. Mohammed went above and beyond for us, always asking how our day was and smiley 😊 i loved the old style decor and the cooling pool came in handy for a dip after a long hot day. Would high recommend this riad as it felt essentially a home from home!

We went a few days after the earthquake and all was fine in Marrakesh including the Riad, so there was no need to worry!

Our recommendations below as there were minor things , room for improvement -

*Complimentary small water bottle provided daily since they charge

*Tea coffee kettle facilities in room

* a safe would be helpful

*More toiletries needed, seperate shampoo/conditioner/shower gel. Currently very basic all in one and given its a 5 star hotel, would expect more. Can source locally, would be a nice touch.

*Long mirror in room

*Daily fruit salad and omlette, if possible. I enjoyed the breakfast with different options but adding these 2 items daily would maximise the experience.

*WiFi issues at times

* be aware taxi drivers won't stop outside the riyad due to access issues, but will stop 5 min walk away. Likely will charge extra to haul luggage to the riyad.

However, would highly recommend the riyad as the positives outweigh any negatives. 😊
