Riad La Porte Rouge

Waw we had a great holliday for a week in this beautiful autenthik riad. Abde en Mustapha went out of there way to make are stay the best. They arranged our transfers and other bookings. Great breakfast and tajines! Abde is so funny and sweet, we wanted to take him home! Also the housekeeping, wonderfull lady's. Hope to see them soon. Inshalla. ❤

I stayed here in July 2021 and my experience was absolutely amazing. The riad itself is beautiful and traditional which added to the Moroccan of experience. If you’re interested in excursions, they can hook you up at the riad and the excursions are must when in Marrakech. The food is also great and Max (the cat) is great to have around.

The location is at least 30-45 minutes away from most attractions so be ready to walk. Stay hydrated and be careful because the heat is intense in Marrakech. Last but not least, I’d would definitely stay in the riad again in the future. Everyone here is very friendly and will take good care of you.

It's a cozy place to go, has a pool and jacuzzi you can chill in. The staff are amazing and they help you find interesting places around the city and help you book for anything you need like a spa or taxi or a private tour guide. It felt like being in a nice home. And there's a cat, Max, that lives there and he's soo adorable which made the stay delightful; he was my highlight of the stay.
Honestly the place might not be those high end hotels nor easy to find at first, but it's really charming and gives off that traditional Moroccan vibe.

The riad is very cosy, service extremely nice. They are flexible with everything. We had some food allergies and they were prepared to serve us as good meals as if they were "normal", which is something pretty rare here. Jacuzzi and dinners on the roof were just a cherry on the top. Cat Max provides entertainment when you are in the common area. Highly recommended!

Amazing experience staying here! Cannot fault anything about it. The staff were all simply friendly and ready to help you with anything you needed advise on, the rooms were palace like dreamy in my opinion, I loved the romantic feel on the room me and my partner stayed in. Don't let the area where it's located scare you at first, it might all seem overwhelming but trust me when I say you'll get more than use to it. Great location for easy access to all the main sites too! Would recommend to anyone looking for that traditional Moroccan hospitality and experience. I can't rate high enough! Also...I don't know how anyone couldn't love Max! He's exactly what you need every morning when you wake up! 10/10 just for him.

Beautiful and clean rooms, the atmosfere is very friendly and you feel like home.

We stayed with my family at Riad La Porte Rouge in April 2019 and we were totally pleased with the place and the staff. The riad managers Jalil and Mohammad were very pleasant and helpful. It's only 30 min walk away from the center and is definitely the right place to stay if you visit Marrakech!
All staff are polite and friendly. We stayed in the top floor room, which was big enough and with a large Moroccan-style bathroom.
There's also a Jacuzzi on top terrace and sun loungers if you feel like having a day off from the madness outside ☺

Stayed here for a week and felt like coming home (even better) every evening. Such a calm place with the sound of its birds and the gorgeous decorations. We will definitely come back to this riad if we make it to Marrakech again. The suite was beautiful, breakfast servings plenty, great maintenance and lovely staff. Also, have dinner in the evening, one of the best I have had! €18 may seem expensive compared to dinner in the city itself, but they really put in the effort. Location was also great, only a 15 minute walk to the souks and the main square. The area, even though it may seem sketchy at first impression, is perfectly safe. Gonna miss Max the cat, my new buddy. See you soon!

i loved my stay here, one of the managers, Mustafa, welcome me the night i arrived and i was pleasantly surprised at how nice this riad was. so well kept, such friendly staff, and the service/food is great. amazing deal for the price, i would stay again without hesitation

In my eyes this is the best place to stay. Abdul who is the day manager is nice and friendly. I have no words for the night manager Mustafa, he is simply one of the best human beings that I have ever met, he goes above and beyond being friendly and is the best person in Marrakech.
