We have had a stunning 4 days trip.

I loved it, of course especially „my“ horse which was at the same time reliable and motivated, but also the programme with amazing landscapes, the lovely group, the helpful guides, the cleanliness and safety of the camp, the fresh food etc. were super.
For me it was also very important to see that the horses are healthy, well muscled and treated nicely.

I will 100% recommend this trip to my friends✨

Sophie and her team organized the week perfectly. From the transfer to the camps, everything was great.

The horses are well trained and in perfect shape. There is a suitable horse for every rider.

My husband and I recently went on The Knights of Essaouira ride. It was such a memorable experience! Traversing the countryside of Essaouira and witnessing how the local Berber people live was something most visitors don’t get to experience. The beach gallop on the long stretch of sand was exhilarating, the horses were behaved and well cared for, and the operations for the trip was like a well oiled machine. We were grateful to have had an amazing team with us, and we’re so fond of Sophie - horses are clearly her true passion. The camping and meals were terrific as well.

We were hesitant about choosing between several horse riding experiences and we definitely made the right choice by going with Zouina Cheval. I highly recommend the experience, the guide was very kind to us and he adapted the experience to our expectations. Last but not least, the horses are extremely well taken care of. Shiny fur and hair, and not skinny at all. Happy horses! ❤

If you want a good horseback experience I really recommend Zouina Cheval. They take safety and good horsemanship seriously, in contrast to some others in Essaouira.
18 horses, guides with good service and skills and good taking care of the animals, both horses and dogs. I recommend to be clear with your level of riding experience so they you get a horse suitable for you. To have the more challenging horses you need good skills to manage well.

I can’t recommend Zouina Cheval highly enough. We rode with them 4 times, and our group ages ranged from 11-45, experienced and some not at all!! Everyone was cared for beautifully - even the children managed a gallop!! The horses are clearly very well cared for, which was of utmost importance to us, and our guide Abdul Karim was really excellent. Thank you so much for giving us all such a great time!!

This is my second trail with Zouna Cheval. I have only good feedback to give . Their horses are just amazing (strong, beautiful, energetic and safe at the same time) and the service is very good all the way. Our guides Younes and Usama were fantastic- great with horses, friendly and always helpful whatever matter. Also the food was very good. Just remember to bring warm clothes for the nights.
I will surely do a trail again with Zouna cheval!

We had the pleasure of booking two rides in Essaouira with Zouina Cheval. Sophie was a great communicator and answered my questions quickly. Me and my daughters (ages 12 and 13) wanted to ride horses one day and camels on a different day. Sophie helped me book a two hour horse ride with picnic and a two hour camel ride with picnic the next day.

Our horse ride was incredible! My daughters are not experienced riders but our guide made us all feel safe on our horses. The stables were immaculate and the horses stunningly beautiful shiny and full of life! The wind on the beach was rigorous and the horses accustomed to it all took it in stride. For the lunch I expected sandwiches. We tied up the horses behind the dunes and a driver came and put a table and chairs right on the beach with the best tajine we had in Morocco! Our guide explained that a lot of restaurants cook the meat and veggies separate in pots and serve it all in a tajine. You could tell this meal was cooked IN the tajine and with a lot of love. Happy that our ride was not over we got back on the horses and the guide knowing that I was an experienced rider tied up my younger daughters horse and had my older daughter hold her horse so I could get a gallop on the beach! It was so invigorating! A dream come true! We had a lovely ride back to the stables and will always remember our incredible horse ride on the beach of Essaouira.

The next day our camel driver Yousef picked us up at our hotel and we walked over to the camels nearby. The camels were beautiful and my youngest daughter got to ride a white camel. The camel ride was stunning as we rode up the beach. It was amazing to experience camels walking in the water along the shoreline. As Yosef prepared lunch we were delighted to spend some time with another camel drivers group of camels that had a very curious and friendly baby camel. Yosef had grilled some delicious chicken on the coals and again best lunch ever! Our ride back was stunning with the wind, the sand, the shore. It was as if we were in a dream.

I highly recommend booking your trips through Zouina Cheval. They are highly professional and take great are of their horses, camels and guests. They most certainly make dreams come true!

The 3 day riding trip was by far one of the best experiences of our lives. We are intermediate riders, used to ride western and in our early 50s, so we were a bit hesitant. But we loved every second. The horses were wonderful, Yunes and Osama our guides are two young men, very responsible and experienced. And mostly kind and have the best attitude. They listened, accommodated and we felt safe and in good hands all along. The food, camping conditions, even the shower tent were all super organized, and when I needed glue for my shoes that were falling apart that was promptly handled as well. The views were gorgeous, the weather cooperated and galloping on the beach was breathtaking.
Thank you Sophie, Yunes, Osama , Chakir (your food was better than any restaurant in Morocco) and everyone else who supported. That was the best 50st birthday gift I could have ever imagined.

Great sunset ride with friends and guide Karim! Even though our group had different riding experience, everyone got to ride to his/her ability. I’ve done a lot of riding in my life and appreciated how well the horses seemed to be taken care of and how well trained they were. We got to gallop three times along the beach, which was absolutely stunning! I would definitely recommend this for a professional horse ride, I would not ride with some random guys that offer horse rides on the beach, that just didn’t seem safe nor fair to the horses.

Horses are well-kept and treated with respect. Khalid is a great guide! I felt 100% safe with him, and he explained everything to me step by step. It was a great experience

I normally don’t post reviews, but we had such an exceptionally good time I felt the people and horses at Zouina deserved recognition. I have ridden off and on most of my life, but it was my partners first time on a horse. I was really impressed at how the knowledge of the instructor and well chosen horses gave my partner a brilliant experience riding independently while giving me a chance to have more interesting ride. I have also discovered a love for Arab-Berber horses- beautiful, intelligent and sensitive. There brilliant!

Just had a 4 full days riding tour with amazing Zouina Cheval stallions, local guides and lovely tour company. The tour management with Sofie was very smmooth. It is absolutely the best way to explore the country and the beaches close to Essaouira towards Iftan. The landscape is diverse, the big camping tent very comfortable and the food cooked by the chef very good. Our group was somewhat biggish, with 11+3 riders, which made communication a bit fragmented but it did not matter for the great experience with these lovely horses. It is also worth to stay more than a day at Essaouira. Looking forward to other longer tours with Zouina.

We went on a trail in January (6 day loop) and it was a very good experience! The horses look good, are healthy and are well taken care of. We had a very good guide Younis (not sure I wrote the name correctly). The guide was friendly, nice and helpful, also polite! I recommend to take lots of different layers of clothes because the climate in January is very variable - like hot summer to cold windy winter. All in all super experience and planning a next trip again!

For a very novice rider the three day trip was ideal. Mostly walking but the occasional trot, canter and misplaced galloping spiced things up. An experienced rider may find it a bit low key. Younes and Mohamed were excellent guides The horses were pretty spirited for some in our group but we all managed. And Yousef traded out as needed. And Chakir made wonderful meals that included fresh veggies. There were eight customers on our trip and it was a wonderful size for the trip. Our meal table though could certainly have been a bit larger! Pretty good outfit if that's the only knock.

Sophie was really responsive to all my many questions. Zouina Cheval has a fine stable of bright-eyed, athletic horses. We were so impressed with their health and heartiness. They are well cared for and loved. Our leaders Younes and Mohamed were professional, competent, and obviously passionate horsemen. They worked really hard for both humans and equines and were alot fun to be with, even with all their daily responsibilities. The food was terrific. We highly recommend this stable for many reasons! I had an amazing experience on the 6 day trail ride. The guides and team are amazing and it was all so well organised. The horses seemed well looked after and were lovely to ride. Great gallops on the beach :)

We had a wonderful 2 hour morning ride in June. Swift booking via WhatsApp. Great value 500dh for 2 hours 2 people. Collected from Riad/ short drive out of town. Immaculate stables, very well looked after horses, good equipment including chaps and proper helmet (and hair net). Ride through countryside and along beach for 2 amazing hours. Shame it was our last day or we would have gone again! Big thank you to our guide Karim: excellent 👍👍

Just returned from a great 2 day trail ride with camping with Zouina Cheval. The Barb Arabian stallions we rode were up to the job, fun and comfy! They looked after beginners and gave the more advanced in the party those gallops on the sand you've always dreamed of! It was magical camping out one night in a beautiful comfy tent, the food provided was exquisite through out and the overall organising spot on: left me with nothing to worry about. Special mention must go to our guide Abdul: he was all we could hope for, answering our questions with good humour in his third language, looking after humans and horses thru out. He made our trip a joy and is a fantastic horse person with a beautiful connection with his regular horse showing us how it can be when man and horse work together. Thanks Abdul and team
