So juicy and tender lamb meat! Just incredible. You select your own cut and weight. Be sure to come early as they finish quickly. Be here before 16:00h.

A Moroccan work colleague recommended this restaurant to us - saying this is a 'must go' in Marrakesh. We loved it.

Ok so it's not a Michelin restaurant and its hygiene standards aren't the same as a European establishment BUT the food is amazing!

We like it so much we went back twice.

They only cook a certain amount of lamb each day. We found that the lamb becomes available around 1pm and apparently it can sell out after 3pm.

There is seating on three levels but the atmosphere is on the ground level.

If you are uncomfortable with eating with both hands then either ask for a fork or get chips which comes with a fork.

Beautifully cooked lamb in a wonderful, traditional setting. Discovered this place on a food tour of Marrakech and so glad we did! The gorgeous lamb is cooked in a huge, deep, underground oven and comes out meltingly tender. Served simply with cumin salt and bread, it's a true Moroccan treat!

Amazing place! Probably the best place I’ve ever been to in Morocco. I love how fresh the meat is. The bread is nice. Great vegetable tagine, so tasty and a good portion! Friendly staff, cheap and good tea. Nice view. I don’t know what more to ask for! We came here twice in two days so you know how good it is! I miss this meat every day!

The lamb was so tender! This is not fancy restaurant so don’t wait for soft chairs. But the food is amazing. Really authentic.

hands down best lamb I had in my life time! so juicy, big, delicious and worth the money. had so many seats and even on the third floor, you can have views as great as the terrace. and they even added the spice powder at the side that gave the lamb extra kick! mechoui alley really rocks

Mouth watering lamb grilled for hours, great atmosphere, if Gordon Ramsey can be here with chez lamine, hadji Mustapha then we were not disappointed...went twice, affordable maximum spent 40 euros for a big meal (400 mad)

Meat lovers paradise had 1/2 kilo roasted lamb in underground pit with some bread and salt and cumin
Good service guy ask whether want fat on lamb I said yes can't beat a bit off fat
Meat was nice and tender just roasted in it's own no seasoning I think
You just dip it bit off salt and cumin nice little salad too goo with it
Was about 120 Moroccan dinar 1/2 kilo meat and bread ,salad and mint tea
Must visit if in Marrakech or meat eater
Few other places selling similar right next to each other

MUST TRY IN MARRAKECH!!

There are a few different mechoui shops here all serving basically the same thing. Just make sure that you watch that they don't give you a ton of fat. It is really easy to order and you can sit inside the restaurant. We came here twice during our stay in Marrakech as it was that good. Flavors are outstanding.

Loved the food here. Seems to be super busy, as there was a big queue when we went for lunch but the queue moved quite fast.
We were a party of 3 and ordered the lamb for 1kg (you could order 1kg or half kg).
We didn't stop to take pictures, the lamb was so good we just went for it!
I would recommend you to try this place if you want really tender and tasty meat.

Everything is perfect! Its a real gem of Medina. In my total 6days of Marrakech visit, came here 3 times to try all dishes. Tenderness of their meat and hospitality of the stuff, and even they are crowded their care to each local/foreign customer is priceless. Thank you so much for everyone.

Came recommended by a local and it exceeded expectations!!! Straight to the point service, food is served super quickly and is so delicious. One of the best meals we had in Marrakech and at an extremely fair price.

They’ve really mastered the mechoui - we got 1/2 kilo between the two of us and savored every bit. With the bread and crispy fries it was enough though ideally we would have gotten 3/4 kilo (they only do 1/2 and full kilo portions).

I really enjoyed their mechoui, tangia and chicken tajine. Really tender meat. A bit crowded sitting area.

Tangia Marrakechia at Chez Lamine is a must-try dish whenever in Marrakech This is easily one of the best slow-cooked lamb I have ever had. It's a little spicy and I would recommend to take a Morrocon salad to pair.

Great food, strongly recommended. Service and atmosphere - just what you can expect in the middle of Medina. It’s not where you sit down and relax, it’s where you get a great meal to energize you for a further journey through the souk or whatever your plans are.

Suggested by our host in Riad we were staying, definitely it's a popular place. Except very small uncomfortable seats. Lamb was well cooked, we were for lunch around 3.00pm some people who came around 3.15 pm were disappointed because the lamb was finished.

A local favourite, you know the place is good when it is frequented by locals. The Mechoui lamb is a must try and is often sold out by lunch! Get in early before it runs out!

One of our highlights of our visit to Marakesh was having dinner here, recommended by a friend. Everything we ordered was incredible! Sorry no photos of the food because we ate it all so fast. If you visit Marakesh, make sure to add this on your bucket list

Excellent meat dishes for great price. There is a bathroom upstairs to wash your hands if needed after. Don't be afraid to dig in, and to use the dipping salt/cumin on the sides of the mechoui.
