What an incredible camp in the heart of the Agafay desert - it is by far one of the most special places I have stayed. The hospitality was exceptional, the rooms were incredible and the views and experience of being deep in the desert was exactly what I needed. Many of the other Agafay camps are quite early on as you enter the desert and are surrounded by a lot of tourist activities and other camps, Scarabeo is very remote and you can really feel it. I would highly highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Scarabeo is a great camp in Agafay. Our clients really liked the place and enjoyed their time there. It was our first time working with them and we will work again together soon.

Lunch at Scarabeo Camp last month was awesome! The camp is in the pretty Moroccan desert, and the place is just perfect for a meal. It felt like we were in a calm and real desert paradise.

The food was like a big Moroccan feast, so many delicious flavors that showed off the country's cooking style. They served everything from yummy tagines to tasty couscous. The portions were really big; our beef tagine for two could easily feed four!

The staff was great, making us feel happy and our lunch experience fantastic. I also had a special moment with a really kind lady making bread outside. I recorded a short video because it was so beautiful. Even though we didn't understand each other perfectly, she was so nice to me. It felt like a "mom moment" when she cooked and shared bread to try. I'll remember that forever. Moroccan people are super friendly and kind!

This was everything.

1st we called for a birthday reservation, communicated by WhatsApp. They asked for a deposit for our dinner.
We paid and arrived early.

Yunus was our host and he was the best.

Everything about this place is on point.

The best experience ever with my family, amazing service, the employees are very helpful, good food, clean rooms, the dromedaries are well treated. And of course the high level experience at the desert.

I hope to be back again.

We spent the night with a group of friends and had the best time. The staff was super friendly, delicious food and mostly the atmosphere was the best, candle lit and live music, can't go wrong with that.

Magical experience. Service was great, dinner was intimate with a singer. The rooms are what you expect in the desert (toilets ok), beds are so soft and comfortable 😍

Such a special experience. Every detail is a desert dream. Fine dining by candle light with live music. Amazing sights and service. Everyone was wonderful, kind, and helpful. We did camel rides, guided walks, and stargazing with a lovely astronomer. The tents were clean but had an authentic sort of safari feel. Thank you so much for this special experience!

I really enjoyed this camp - the staff were very accommodating and helpful, the experience is very authentic (in a good way) with wood burning stoves to relax with a great book when the weather turned, and the delicious local food - including vegetables with all the meals. The activities were good as well (quad, horses and trek) but I was really there to relax and restore. Such abundance in a remote location is difficult to pull off, I’ve been in camps all over Brazil, Bolivia and Africa, e.g. the bathrooms were very nice with mats throughout and hot water - super comfortable beds with mattresses that weren’t sagging and an amazing view from the tent for the good weather days.

We didn’t stay overnight but we had a special evening and lovely dinner ! Located just 40 min drive from Marrakesh the place is stunningly beautiful in a kind of desert way 😀 dinner in a tent was very delicious and memorable

We had an amazin stay at Scarabeo. We arrive for lunch on the 20th of february and left the following morning. The place is gorgeous, the agafay desert a lot more beautiful than we anticipated, it being a rocky desert compared to the Sahara. The staff at Scarabeo was extremely kind and arranging. The views are stunning and the food is delicious. The vibes at sunset were incredible.

I loved every little bit of this glamping experience and would recommend it for anyone who wants to get away from the city and connect with nature. We were welcomed with Moroccan Mint tea and delicious pastries. The staff were all very nice, very friendly but most importantly, discreet so that you will get the full calm environment experience. The food was very delicious and the landscape is out of this world. Only downside is the low lights inside the tents but I personally liked it because it adds a sparkle of coziness to the overall vibes.

There isn't that much to do around the camp at night so I would recommend bringing some board games and books or take the time to meditate and stargaze (stars are cleanly visible from the camp's location). During the day, you can choose from different activities (camel riding, air balloons, quad riding etc) but you need to tell the staff beforehand so that they will organize them for you. Also make sure to take the most instagrammable pictures in there and if it's summer/spring time or you simply like winter bathing, you can then enjoy the pool and its views.

The route to the camp is somehow narrow and dark so I would also recommend to head there before sunset to be able to drive safely or you can ask the camp to organize your transfer, they offer that service.

So what are you waiting for? Pack your things and book your stay, you won't regret it at all!

Little Paradise in the Agafay Dessert. To mention first - we were the only ones in the camp (except for dinner) as its not high season & the staff did their utmost to offer us the best stay & everyone was super super nice!! It is fairly pricey, but you get a lot for it in return: a well equiped tent - even with a fan which was much needed as it was very warm even during the night (which is rather unusual), a wonderful pool to cool down, a welcome tea, 3 course dinner with large portions & a breakfast that offers everything you need. The camp is well looked after & is also very stylish. In the evening there was also someone playing guitar/singing during the dinner. We would highly recommend it.

The only thing we would probably not do again is the 30 mins ride with the camels which we booked through the camp. The guy was friendly but the camels didn't seem that happy, had some scard & the camel in the back was very tight tied together to the one in the front and couldn't really lift his head up due to this.

This place is just magical! It's unbelievable that there is such a luxurious place in the desert...

It's easy to get to (we used our own car and it was a 45-60 minutes drive from Marrakech). The staff is friendly, attentive and just lovely.

The accommodation was outstanding! We had a huge tent with a fireplace, a comfy bed, a living room and our on bathroom. The staff even started a fire in our fireplace in the afternoon so we would stay warm at night!

The food was delicious and they even served wine, which is very rare in Marokko.

the camel hike was a great amusement!

We'll be back for sure!

A unique experience if you want a desert experience and dont have a lot of time. It’s more a stone desert but the vistas are magnificent and only 45-60 min from Marrakesh. The tents are very comfortable and the tented dining area and entertainment were fun.I wld highly recommended going there if its yr 1st time to morocco and dont have time to spend 9 hrs driving the desert.

Our family had a great time at Scarabeo Camp. The tents are large, with full size beds and attached toilet/shower. The staff is friendly and helpful. They give you so much food for your meals that we felt a bit guilty that we didn't ever finish it all.
I think that relaxation away from all the hustle and bustle of Marrakech is a main attraction at this camp, but we also signed up to do a couple of activities as well. Both the camel riding and star gazing were worth every penny.

We had quite a memorable experience at Scarabeo camp. They treat you like royalty (which I did not expect nor desire, but it was greatly appreciated). Possibly the best dinner and breakfast I have ever had...and in copious amounts (nothing but the freshest, homemade, high quality ingredients).

Tents are well-equipped and stay quite warm (visited in December), especially with the fire already prepared for you before you arrive.

In addition, the short camel ride offered some tranquil views of the surrounding desert and atlas mountains away from the camp.

One of the most magical experiences of my life. The staff was incredibly attentive, sweet, and respectful. We loved our tent and the surrounding accommodations. It felt luxurious but authentic. The food was delicious and dinner had great variety. Some highlights were waking up to watch the sunrise over the desert hills, star-filled evenings by the fire, and the camel ride. We were there in July so it was very hot, but it's manageable heat. We lunged around, read books, played games, and took naps. The camp exceeded our expectations!

Fantastic place for our team vision retreat - it's just outside of Marrakech and yet the scenery is so different and it feels like another world. The tents are super comfy and cosy, and the staff there are really welcoming. We loved the sunset camel ride as well.
