This is one of the best places I have ever stayed. My husband and I came to Morocco on a last minute trip, and the staff was so accommodating, kind, attentive. When we arrived, they spent a few minutes explaining the small nuances of the city, giving local tips and prices and also helped us plan out our stay with the activities we wanted to do. The food upstairs was good too, great introduction to local cuisine. The rooms were clean, nice but the hotel itself was very cute and quaint. Location was 10 min walk to the main square with all the shops and restaurants. When we were leaving to visit another city, they packed small snacks and fruits for our journey! Then again, on our way home we had a long layover in Marrakech and they graciously let us keep our luggage there for safe keeping while we finished exploring the city before catching our night flight. The small details is what made this a great stay, and we felt very welcomed. Overall, loved the experience here and would recommend to anyone wanting to stay.

Staying for 7 days and loving the dedicated care and friendly service. The team truly go above and beyond to be helpful and attentive to your needs. On the first night, we were placed at a room that was first up from the reception and it was very noisy - so we asked to move and the management put us in the first room that become available to our satisfactory. They also agreed to do our laundry free of charge which was super appreciated. The breakfast is fresh and delicious.

This hotel was recommended to us by British Airways, and what a great suggestion it turned out to be !

From our welcome upon arrival, Ahmed and his team made us feel at home. His team go out of their way to help on every turn. So impressed. They offered advice on restaurants and places to go, arranged transport and always supported us with a smile !

The hotel is a quiet oasis, right on the edge of the markets. if you exit the hotel and turn left you step into the markets and walk for 5-10 minutes before you find the main square. if you turn right out of the hotel, the immediately step into the noise and speed of the newer streets.

Breakfast is a highlight - as was dinner - and the freshly baked breads and pastries were amazing !

I can not recommend this hotel enough. Really good option for anyone who wants to explore Marrakech !

We had dinner here. Easily the best meal of our 1 week trip.
Exceptional flavors, presentation and service. Is very small, but the intimacy adds to the experience. Live music, it not in your face.
Very refined atmosphere with attentive and non-intrusive service to boot.

Definitely recommended.

For my first time in Morocco you couldn’t pick a better place to stay. Beautiful Riad, helpful and friendly staff and an excellent location. A 10 minute walk to the main square, a 5 minute walk to the Bahia palace and even better the taxis and horse carriages stop almost right outside the Riad. A relaxing oasis of calm to escape to after enjoying the excitement of Marrakech.

A wonderful stay at Dar Anika, a small oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the Medina but also right on the doorstep. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful during our stay making the best we have had for a long time. Ahmad was amazingly helpful during our stay. Will definitely recommend to friends.

Our trip to Morocco got off to a rough start due to a mix up with the airport pickup by the hotel. Despite this mishap, I am still giving them 5 stars because how they handled the mistake and made it up to us afterwards. As soon as we informed the hotel of the issue with a) no driver for pickup b) vehicle that eventually arrived was too small to carry all our luggage ( even though we had emailed them specifically about this), they immediately arranged for a new vehicle ( very spacious and comfortable) and comped the airport pickup charge and arranged for a lovely dinner on our arrival ( we had booked B&B). This also included multiple sincere apologies from the manager and staff.

This hotel is a beautiful Riad situated next to the Ozadria square in the medina (old city) and is one of the few in the area which a vehicle can be brought to quite closely. Its also very conveniently located at the entrance to the Riad Zitoum Kedim street which leads directly to the Jemaa-el-Fna square( 10 minute leisurely walk), the souks( best place to buy souvenirs) and the Koutoubia mosque. The Al Bahia palace is just around the corner(5 minute walk). The Jardin Majorelle is about 15 minutes by taxi ( which the hotel arranges on request).

The staff were very friendly, kind and obliging. The manager personally gives all guests an orientation of the area and tips on how to buy goods and avoid scams (very useful!).

The rooms though small were quite comfortable. They have a great rooftop terrace with a splendid view of the city and the Atlas mountains. For breakfast, they serve traditional breads with soups, lentils, tomatoes, yoghurt and fruits and its quite lovely. I tried the traditional hammam and massage which was amazing! Thank you to Khameesa and Youssra!

What a lovely stay! Dar Anika is a beautiful property at a great location with wonderful staff and food. We can’t wait to go back. The breakdown:

Check-In: We arrived a bit early (11am) so our room was not ready. The staff let us rest in the lounge, served us breakfast 🤤, and let us relax while we waited. Once, we ate, they sat us down and gave a fantastic new arrival brief. The brief included map orientation of the madina, major tourist spots, how to hail a taxi and basics of haggling (it is expected). The thought of haggling makes my husband sweat so this was a good mental primer for him.

Room: we had a queen size bed in our room. The abundant closet space came in handy when trying to navigate around luggage and souvinoirs. The room also came with local essentials such as umbrella, shopping basket, and terrycloth robes. The shower had these argon oil shampoo and yogert conditioner, which made me feel very Moroccan 🥰. We had a welcome basket of fruit, large bottle of water, and romantic rose petals.

Food: The breakfast was a nice sample of local breakfast. The breads are small portions of what locals eat. I’m in love with mesmen every morning with my coffee. The birds flying through the courtyard makes me feel like I’m in a fairy tale. We also had Christmas dinner at the Riad. The chef cooked everything perfectly. The staff was so sweet and let us try deserts gratis because we didn’t order any wine. It was a beautiful Christmas dinner.

Just left this morning after 4 fantastic nights, our first trip to Marrakech.
The accommodation was splendid, staff were helpful and friendly. The room was beautiful and the Dar was so relaxing. Situated at the edge of the Medina it was easy to get to and go out and explore.
To pop outside to the hectic souks then come back to quiet tranquil Dar was a blessing. We loved sitting in the lounge area of Dar have some drinks and chill out.
Thankyou to the great staff who made our stay a delight.
Highly recommend Dar ANIKA if considering accommodation in Marrakech

My new home away from home ;)
Location : Top, but not noisy
Beautiful place with perfectly cool little pool to fight against August heat.
Architecture and Interior design: beautiful and in detail!
Food: traditional to country but with option for the usual scrambled eggs for breakfast...although i got some new favourites on my food list now.
Best point: such great service from everybody on the staff! Helpful in every way and could not have been better!! Will be back soon!! ...when its little cooler maybe ;)

Just great! The staff can't do enough for you (they even knocked on our door with 2 hot water bottles in January), it's a fab location. Would 100% recommend and stay again ourselves.

My husband and I spent 3 days at the Riad dar Anika and it was fantastic! The location is perfect right at the gate to the old town which means you aren't dragging your bags through the crowded Medina. It also makes sight seeing in the new town incredibly convenient. The staff was kind and attentive while still allowing privacy. The food was superb and the views from the roof top can't be beat. Seriously! Stay here you won't regret it!

The hotel is great situated in a riad. One of the best hotels we stayed at in Morocco. Wonderful and welcoming reception. The rooms were spacious and immaculately clean. The service was exceptionally good. The breakfasts were well served and dinners were tastey and fulfilling. Great amenities in the rooms and in the beautiful lobby. A swimming pool downstairs and a hot tub on the roof with a vew adds to a satisfying and pleasant stay. I recommend this place highly and I will definitely come back here from now on since I visit Marrakech frequently.

The riad is so welcoming and lovely. We were greeted by reception and Lyanne, along with a fruit smoothie, tea, cookies. Lyanne gave us an accurate and entertaining "lay of the land" tour while we sat in the open air courtyard. So meaningful to us after our 2+ week trip - the perfect way to unwind.

We can't say enough about the staff (same as the other reviewers). So helpful, so kind. Great breakfasts on the terrace. Marrakech is a teeming city so it was a pleasure to have a relaxing oasis to return to. Thank you, Riad Dar Anika.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and it was spectacular! The staff was amazing from arrival to departure. We traveled to 4 different cities during our 2 week stay and this hotel was our favorite based upon hospitality. The staff was attentive whenever we were present, the breakfast was fresh and delicious, the staff was knowledgeable and provided exceptional service by flagging taxis, providing packed luncheons for excursion days and the honeymoon surprise (flowers/decor) in our room. I highly recommend and couldn't be happier.
THANK YOU!!

While we did not actually stay at this particular riad, my wife and I and our two friends dined here on two separate occasions. Both times, the service and food were spectacular to say the least. Upon our arrival each time, the hostess was extremely warm and welcoming and each night, the owner came over to check on us to see how our dinning experience was going. On the second night, the owner personally came over to hand carve the lamb shank dinner that our friends ordered. We were treated as if were were royalty and the staff went above and beyond to please us. Each night, the owner gave us a couple of complimentary treats which was greatly appreciated. This restaurant made us feel as though we were so much more than a customer and you could tell they appreciated us coming into their restaurant. The restaurant was nicely decorated with dim lighting, giving the place a nice warm and romantic ambiance. After having dined here the first night, we all agreed that we had to return the very next night before we left to dine here again. The food was incredibly fresh and flavorful which was refreshing after having dined at a few other restaurants previously that we couldn't say the same for. While the menu is not expansive, the steak kabobs, chicken dishes, lamb special, and appetizer spring rolls were all phenomenal, not to mention their delicious hot cocoa, mint tea, and pasty offerings! Their restaurant is an absolute must-do if you are in the area. Their service is above and beyond. After we dined here, our entire party agreed that we wish we stayed here instead our the riad we were staying. Thank you to the owner, hostess, our waiter Karim and all the waitstaff who played a part in making our dinning experience with you guys so memorable! We truly appreciate the hospitality. If we come back to Morocco, we will certainly be back!

The staff are friendly and helpful, very hospitable and helped to ensure I had the best time in Marrakech. The use of a local driver arranged for me was a great way to see the sights. The location of the riad is ideal close to the souks and the heart of the city.
The breakfast included was substantial and tasty. The facilities, bar and restaurant were ideal and I would highly recommend staying at the Riad Dar Anita. I would love to visit again
