Perhaps a little worn around the edges in some minor areas, but this would be to ignore the best parts of this hotel, which are the relaxing atmosphere and food.

Lots of little garden areas to sunbathe in relative privacy, away from the main pool, excellent bars and restaurants, comfortable beds and clean rooms.

I was surprised to see a decent free-weights section in the gym, including a Smith machine, Olympic bars etc.

The staff were attentive and the food was great with a huge choice of well prepared dishes. The local wines are good.

Can highly recommend this hotel for some winter sun - weather was great in February, around 27 degrees and low humidity. Air con wasn't required in the rooms.

There is an excellent and relaxed artisan centre just across the road if you don't fancy visiting the main souk markets (worth a visit, but be prepared to be hassled somewhat).

Superb Hotel. Located within easy walking distance of the main square, markets and souks. Lovely gardens, great staff, excellent choice and quality of food. Adults only , with a relaxed and calm atmosphere. All inclusive with a great selection and quality of drinks. Lovely main pool and a super warm separate pool( we came in January). Plenty of loungers by pool and in gardens, so if it was busy by the pool it was easy to get a lounger in the Gardens which was very close by ( and which we preferred) . Will definitely return next year as we loved it.

The staff were amazing especially the restaurant staff! Head chef Said was always around making recommendations and the table staff were always pleasant and couldn’t do enough.

The buffet food was varied and delicious.
Rooms and pool area were clean and the spa was simply amazing. Will definitely be back.

This hotel is amazing. It's in a very central place and very luxurious. The service and the staff cannot be faulted. The reps were helpful. All staff were happy and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and special. The grounds were amazing. There were cats everywhere and tortoises in the garden. It is a very well kept and clean hotel. The food was to die for. I wasn't impressed with the alcohol. I'm not saying it was... But it tasted watered down. I had a gin and tonic... Half and half. I was expecting to grimace but that wasn't the case. Must be just be because it was local drinks perhaps? The room was cosy and quiet. The ONLY thing I could complain about was the temperature in the room. After 2 nights of being extremely uncomfortably hot in bed, I called reception because I couldn't get the air con to work. They told me it is winter in Morocco so they turn off the air con. I told them I was suffering and just because the locals find the temperature to be freezing, they weren't staying in my room. They said I should open the door. Which I did but was then subjected to the noise of the surrounding traffic. I'd suggest having portable fans for us who don't find winter in Morocco too cold (I'm English, I permanently live in cold weather... This was NOT cold.. It was between 10 degrees and 29 degrees... Even during the day the local staff were wearing body warmers in scorching heat). Oh and the pillows hurt my neck but because I have a dodgy neck. I asked for a less tall pillow but didn't get one. Having said that, my boyfriend didn't have problems with them. I had to sleep with no pillow in the end.
Thus said, I had the best week in a very long time and was very impressed.

Great hotel in fantastic location, within walking distance to medina and Marrakesh attractions. It's peaceful and quiet, something you definitely need after visiting Marrakesh. Lovely gardens, very good food, heated small swimming pool, plenty of sun beds

We have stayed at the TUI BLUE Medina Gardens hotel for 10 days including over the Christmas holidays and, wow, what a great time we’ve had. The restaurant staff are excellent and always smiling and the food is pretty fantastic by any standards. The buffet restaurant is brilliantly managed and the chefs are really really creative. Their entertainment in the restaurant is also joyful and lively. Bravo to all the management and the staff for making our Christmas vacation, and that of so many other guests within the hotel, so very special. Oh, and the food in the à-la-carte Culinarium restaurant is pretty brilliant too. Thank you. Bravo.

For a break adult only, you need to go go this hotel. The service was wonderful, the staff take really care of you. Special mention to Mustapha at the pool bar. You can do almost everything by foot. For the Valentine's day, they did a Valentine's night, it was magic.
The buffet as a variety every night (Stay 4 nights). It was delicious. Second in a Tui Blue and not deceived.

Great staff, very helpful. Great place to chill away from the bustle of Marrakech. Some rooms a bit dated. We had a hot tub on the balcony which was great but did need a good clean when we arrived.

There are cats everywhere (same as all of Marrakech) but were very friendly and weren't pests

Spent 3 nights at the hotel, 27 - 29 December 2023 with my Partner. The food was of very high quality, it was plentiful and varied, the drinks also. The hotels location is excellent as it’s right next to the Medina so a stroll each day through the Medina and across to the Jemaa el-Fna is effortless. The hotel is scrupulously clean. However what really makes the hotel so special are the staff, without exception they were so professional, polite and warm. I won’t name, names as this would take hours, ALL the staff were simply amazing. Thank you for a lovely experience.

Food is great, lots of variety and plentiful. Beer and wine were both great too, cocktails didn't always taste as you'd expect, but tasted great all the same.
The staff make this hotel such a great experience, we met some of the line manager's who were superb - special thanks to Kautar and her team especially Mustapha, Mohamed and Mahfoud.
Daily maid service was excellent.
Only 2 gripes - the wifi dropped in and out sometimes and the BLUE APP is rubbish - it didn't work more than it worked, if you're going to communicate with guests by ab APP, make sure it works.

This was our third visit to this hotel and we still love it.
Great staff, big thumbs up to Mustafa at the pool bar. Fantastic food especially the Moroccan area.
The gardens and pool areas are beautiful.
Throughly recommend the Spa, the hamman and massage are very good and an excellent price.
It's perfectly located within easy walking distance of the main square, the souks and other attractions.
We will no doubt return.

We had an absolutely fabulous time at the hotel, our first holiday since Covid lockdown. The staff couldn't have been any friendlier or helpful. We were greeted on arrival with a cold glass of cucumber juice and a very competent receptionist.

Both the inside and outside of the hotel were well kept and cleaned regularly. Our room was spacious (shower stall huge) and neutrally decorated. Bath robes and slippers were provided. The bed was extremely comfortable and the linens crisp (extra pillows in the closet). There was no need for heating or cooling during our stay late Nov - early Dec. As we were late in arrival (after the restaurant had closed) we were greeted with covered cold plates of food/fruit and a bottle of red wine in the room. The fridge kept the daily water bottles cold.

The food was absolutely fabulous (we only used the buffet and did not take advantage of the specialty restaurant). The variety was enormous and well displayed (don't know where the negative comments in other postings came from unless they desired ONLY British fare), besides being delicious. Omelets were cooked to order at breakfast. There was also a 'select your own pasta' station at which the chef prepared a dish to your own specifications. The fresh daily bread was scrumptious. Our head waiter Soukaina (forgive the spelling if incorrect) could not have been more attentive. She greeted us every day with a huge smile and sunny disposition (besides our morning tea and coffee). The themed nights were lovely, with gorgeous food displays and musical entertainment.

The heated pool was clean and well maintained. Pool towels were readily exchanged at the kiosk.

There were ample numbers of sun loungers scattered through the gardens, which meant you didn't have to relax poolside. Coolers held free bottled water and soft drinks for self service.

The gardens were well kept and offered a variety of fruit trees, decorative trees/shrubs, and herbs. We loved sitting beneath the laden orange trees listening to the birdcalls. The tortoise garden had a variety of different aged creatures, with the youngest ones 'zooming' about and the elders in 'slumber'.

The hotel was only a 10 - 15 minute walk from the market square and souk. However, it was relatively quiet considering the hustle and bustle outside its walls. There is a taxi rank outside the hotel gates, as well as horse and carriage rides - we didn't use either, but preferred to walk everywhere. We never felt unsafe, even at night, when walking around the area - you just have to watch out for the rogue motorbikes. A simple 'la' usually sufficed when approached by vendors.

Mr. Hassen, manager, kept a close eye on daily operations (we did notice a slight drop off in staff operations when he was not present). He was very personable and professional. Very hands on with hotel management and did engage with guests (although his priority was with hotel functioning).

The only criticisms we had were with guest behaviour - nothing that impacted negatively on the hotel. Yes, there was a certain group that departed early on who insisted on claiming loungers by the pool before 8 AM by placing towels. However, there were plenty of loungers scattered around the landscaped gardens which didn't make it a problem. And, the practice didn't continue after their departure. Additionally, there were 'entitled' individuals who insisted on smoking poolside, dropping their ashes and stubbing out butts on the tiles, even though smoking areas with ashtrays were available. It was made even more inconsiderate as the smoky haze floated above the pool where people were swimming - and the perpetrators never ventured into the pool themselves. But you get that selfish behaviour anywhere you travel.

Enjoyed a lovely holiday here with a friend - The hotel is beautiful, well kept, impeccably clean and the staff are truly excellent. We were very well looked after. The location is great to visit the city, especially Jemaa el-Fnaa which is 10minute walk away, we enjoyed wandering around the souks and trying our hand at bartering! A stroll around the Cyber Gardens which is just across the road from the hotel is great for some exercise in beautiful surroundings too.

Each night the main buffet restaurant had a theme which brought variety and the Culinarium restaurant which you can visit once during your stay (evening) offered a nice dining experience on site. As a vegetarian there was plenty to choose from in both.

Plenty of loungers to relax on by the pools or in the gardens and a never ending supply of cocktails and drinks (alcoholic or not) brought to you by lovely staff who took the time to remember your favourites and deliver a new glass whenever they spied you were empty - perfect!

Would recommend and happily visit again.

The hotel was perfect. I can't fault it on anything I stayed there between the 18th and 25th September. The staff were wonderful. Kind and friendly. As it was my birthday they made me a birthday cake and sang happy birthday to me. On one of my days there the kitchen staff came to my aid I had a swallowing fit and helped me. The grounds are beautiful. I can't wait to go back already booked for the 6th September to the 16th next year. I had to wait 2years because of the covidfor
this holiday. Can't wait to see you all next year.

This review is based on our stay from the 16-23.02.24

Transfer from the airport was approximately 25 minutes to the TUI BLUE Medina Gardens Hotel, which is situated in the heart of Marrakesh.

There was no need to rush off the coach to check in as everyone was directed to a seating area to be greeted with a nice Moroccan Tea and an explanation of how the check-in process will work. I wish all the hotels did this. Very efficient and relaxed.

Once we had lunch, we then made our way to the reception to collect our room keys, etc.

We had booked the basic room (1117).
The room was very clean with a comfy large bed and a very good shower room with a separate toilet. It’s not the biggest of rooms, however it was adequate for our one week stay. The balcony faces the front of the hotel and doesn’t get that much sun. It wasn't an issue for us as we don’t spend that much time in the room anyway.

All meals are taken in the buffet restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious with plenty of choice as well excellent themed nights. I was impressed with the number of options for Vegans and those who are gluten-free. Far better than other hotels we have stayed in.
If you fancy a change from the restaurant, you can visit the snackbar, located outside the Culinarium Restaurant. A must is to visit the Culinarium in the evening, in our opinion the food was as good as any hotel restaurant we have eaten in.

There are a number of bars (Pool Bar, The Bar, Fountain Bar are part of the all-inclusive package. Shisha Bar and Safran Bar are additional costs). The quality of the drinks at the all-inclusive bars was good enough for us, so we had no need to visit the other two.

There is a main pool and a relaxation pool. We didn’t see any activities in the main pool. Maybe because it was winter. If you really want relaxation, we found nice quiet spots in the gardens. Perfect for us as my partner loves the sun, and I like the shade.

We participated in a number of the hotel activities and found all the staff to be knowledgable and they made sure the activities were fit for all levels of fitness.
The gym has a number of cardio machines and free weights, and all pieces of equipment were in good working order.

Evening entertainment was varied and catered for a wide spectrum of audiences. On the whole we found it very good.

The WiFi and TUI Blue app worked fine in the hotel. It did drop out when in certain locations in the gardens.

The staff at the Medina Gardens were absolutely superb. Everyone we met was friendly, helpful, and polite. Nothing was too much trouble for them. It is impossible to single any single person out because they were all that good.

I could easily have written a very short review: Great Hotel, Great Location, Excellent Food, The Best Staff.
If you have bothered to read this far, you won’t be surprised. we highly recommend The Medina Gardens, the best and cleanest TUI Hotel we have stayed in.
