We visited this place while we were in El Jadid, Marocco (August, 2022). The attraction was close while we were there.

If you free time, you may visit this place. It is near the city center. The historical monuments have great building, but they need to do maintenance.

I absolutely love the cistern! If you have Morrocan residence, there is a discounted rate. It is very small, but it is a nice photo opportunity, and a must see if you are in El Jadida.

Simply stunning. Yes, it's relatively small but atmosphere of this place is breathtaking. Admission 60 MAD for foreigners, 10 for Moroccans.

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, combining Portuguese and Moroccan histories. Really atmospheric, worth a visit and it's within the Fort. Makes a worthwhile stop on a walk and has a great photo opportunity.

Very pretty space with minimal entry fee. Enjoy the old Portugese city, there are locals living inside today, plus tourist shops and cafes. It's cool inside, take a sweater with you. It's a short walk inside the walls, no vehicles allowed.

Interesting undercroft. The light play from the sun shining through the opening was magical. Interesting bit of history, which you can read about in the display room. Awesome fortress with massive walls.

Part of the Unesco World Heritage site since 2004, this place was built in 16th century as a warehouse, probably armory, and turn into underground water cistern later in 16th century. Place is filled with thin layer of water creates beautiful reflections – amazing place to photograph. Place is good escape from heat of summer, as its cool and humid. Probably the most famous place to visit in El Jadida, together with rampart walls. During our visit cistern was luminated also by natural light from the ceiling, via round oculus. This creating even better light conditions for photographing inside.
