Offered us tea when we arrived so we felt welcomed. They explained all the origins, history and uses of the artifacts they had on display. Very generous and resourceful. Were willing and happy to negotiate prices. We got 2 rugs 3 artifacts and 2 bracelets. All are beautiful, handmade and of high quality. We will definitely be back again to our next trip to Morocco and we’ll bring friends and family! Truly a wonderful place.

Labyrinthe du Sud in Ouarzazate City, Morocco, is an absolute gem of an antique shop, and my recent experience there was nothing short of delightful. From the moment we stepped inside, we were warmly welcomed by the owner, Ahmad, who graciously offered us a complimentary tour of the shop along with some traditional Moroccan tea.
What truly sets Labyrinthe du Sud apart is Ahmad's extensive knowledge and experience in antiquities. He took the time to personally guide us through the shop, explaining the history and uses of each object with passion and expertise. It was evident that every item in the shop had been carefully curated, reflecting both the rich cultural heritage of Morocco and Ahmad's discerning eye for quality.

The shop itself is a treasure trove of beautiful rugs, jewelry, and handmade pottery, each piece more captivating than the last. As we browsed through the collection, we couldn't help but marvel at the craftsmanship and attention to detail evident in every item.

One thing that struck me was the disparity between Labyrinthe du Sud's exceptional quality and the negative reviews I had read online. Having experienced firsthand the impeccable service and exquisite products offered by Ahmad and his team, I can only assume that those negative reviews must came from tourists who don’t understand how long it take to weave such beautiful rugs, or that Morocco is not longer cheap and how inflation can be one of the reasons prices has gone up.

Also standout moment of our visit was when we purchased a stunning Beni Ourain rug (a classic beauty with a white base and black stripes), While shopping for a similar rug in Marrakech's old Medina, we were quoted an exorbitant price of $2500. However, at Labyrinthe du Sud, Ahmad offered us the same rug for $1800, a considerable saving without compromising on quality. Not only did we get a fantastic deal, but Ahmad also ensured that our purchase was carefully packed for our journey home.

I am beyond thrilled with my Beni Ourain rug; it has truly transformed my sitting room into a work of art. Without a doubt, I will be returning to Labyrinthe du Sud the next time I'm in Morocco. Thank you, Ahmad, for a truly exceptional shopping experience—I couldn't be happier with my purchase!

Amazing surprise!! you walk in and you can't believe how many rooms there are packed with elegantly displayed jewelry and rugs and antique Moroccan. You would NEVER guess from the outside what a treasure this places is! 3 generations of collections and it shows!! Achmed and his helpers dressed in traditional garb treat you like royalty. you will simply not believe the quantity of beautiful modern and ancient Moroccan jewelry. There is something for everyone! And you don't feel you are in battle if you negotiate! Worth going way out of your way to see this!

Reasonable. Friendly. Great selection. They were very willing to accommodate. They even repackaged and consolidated purchases from elsewhere to allow for easier plane travel.

Fantastic place! Incredible shop with an array of special pieces. The old doors, the furniture and berbere jewellery are terrific.
Bought a traditional berbere rug same price as Marrakech, so I guess the prices are pretty much standard and fair.
The staff is very friendly and polite. I can only recommend this place!

Great people to do business with. They are a cooperative that helps the artisans by selling their things. Carpets, rugs, pottery, silver, antiques they have it all. They took the time to explain the different tribal rugs, showed many examples, and guarantee their work.

Excellent selection of curiosities from all over Morocco! If you know how to discuss «la prix démocratique» you will do very well with these very fair businessmen. Ask to speak with Hada :)
