Nice and interesting experience, especially if, like me, you're into film and cinema. It's very affordable and definitely worth it.
I think all the entitled, unfair, douchy negative reviewers on here should get real. Yes, a tour guide is required, but so what? After the tour's over, you're free to walk around, explore, and closely examine the props, and at least there's some order and structure. In our case, the tour guide did a phenomenal job. He was very well-informed, polite, with a good command of English, and creative. We even filmed a quick choreographed version of a commercial he came up with, along with the other tourists, and he did a pretty good job.

As we stepped onto the sprawling studio lot, I was immediately transported into the magical world of cinema. Walking past iconic sets that had graced the silver screen, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and nostalgia.Exploring the behind-the-scenes areas and learning about the filmmaking process added depth to my appreciation for the artistry that goes into bringing stories to life on screen. As I posed for photos in front of famous backdrops and imagined myself as a character in my favorite films. The studio offers guided tours in English. Parking is ample available.

We really enjoyed our tour here! Our guide (I wish I could remember his name! He had a bunch of flag pins on his hat and wore a purple coat) was absolutely fantastic! Honestly my favourite guide for all the tours I did in Morocco (total of 6 guides, so, small numbers I guess but amazing). He spoke fantastic English, was very funny, and was quick to answer any and all questions. The place itself has flush toilets and I think you can get some light snacks at admissions (60MAD per person). The sets were really cool!

Fun place to stop and take photos with sets scene in many movies and tv shows. The tour guides are great and the kids were incredibly entertained with getting to interact with all the sets.

I'm not really a movie person and I was quite sceptical about doing a tour here. But I really enjoyed it. Our guide was excellent, informative and amusing. He had an iPad and showed real film scenes that had been shot in the place you were standing. Lots of other info on the use of CGI, mirrors, etc in particular scenes. He also made a couple of mini movies using the people in the group and gave info on how to use the light and how to make things look bigger or smaller. I'm usually annoyed when guides ask for tips at the end of a tour, but on this occasion I happily paid.

We really enjoyed our trip here which was hugely because of our guide Karim- he’s magic! If you get to spend the time with him then you’re lucky. Insane knowledge and understated humour whilst letting you take your time to chill and take photos to. It’s an interesting little place. If you’re in the area or close by… visit!

What an exciting place to visit out in the middle of the desert. Enormous amounts of movies have been filmed here. See my list I posted in pictures. The guides are informative in multiple languages inc English French German (others too) of course Arabic. Rather large town with varied quality and price available.

We didn't expect much, but apparently it was quite a good call to get there.
There are tours all the time so just get there and you'll get the tour, not expensive.
It lasts about 40 minutes and you go from site to site with the guide where he explains what was shot in the area and when and maybe some more interesting details.
It's mostly outside, so be prepared for the heat!

Excellent little visit to a movie studio that has loads of different permanent sets on display. It is not Hollywood, off course not, but it makes for an enjoyable visit.
On entering you are told to sit in the small cinema until they organise enough people for the tour guide to take us around. If you are lucky you have a really good tour guide like we had and he makes the visit more entertaining.
He even filmed a little video of all of us in "character" to the sound of the gladiator soundtrack.
After the tour is over you are free to wander through all the sets on your own and see it all again so you can go and take the photos you didn't manage before. We ended up staying almost 2 hours on the studio.
If you are driving through then do stop because it is worthwhile.
There are toilets on site as well if you need to use them.

I had very low expectations about it, abut the guided tour with Abdul was outstandingly good. Besides illustrating how important is the movie industry to Ouarzazate’s economy, Abdul rendered us a really entertaining show! 😃

If you love movies, especially action and ancient history films, this place is great. I recognized things from Gladiator, Game of Thrones and Passion of the Christ. The guide we had spoke excellent English and French. We wasted no time, but he gave you the interesting facts about each set. Great place to take pictures i. The sets and outside. You can see why producers film here because of the scenery and vast amount of space. The tour was 45 minutes which was perfect for us. The tickets were $12 each and we tipped $10 for the two of us. Clean restrooms in the studio and probably in the Oscar hotel which is right by the studio. I suspect if you paired it with Ait Ben Haddou it would be worth the drive from Marrakech. We were going from the desert (Skoura) and it was a perfect quick stop and not out of the way

Jawad gave us a great tour!

Incredible standing sets from Hollywood movies like Prince of Persia; some of the sets are 20 years old but still very well preserved. Still an active movie studio next to the studio lot tour.

Awesome filming studio Atlas. I like Egypt zone pretty much. Everything look huge and fantastic. So much fun here. If you have been to other Universal Studios, here's different. It more about desert and it seems real!

Really worth a visit.
It's work in progress, but most sites are looking good (again).
80 DH pp for entry of the studios.
30 DH pp extra if you like to visit the set of 'Kingdom of Heaven'
40 DH pp if you ONLY like to go to the set of 'Kingdom of Heaven'

Awesome place to visit! The lots are quiet right now, I'm assuming, due to coronavirus, which made the visit better in my opinion. We practically had the place to ourselves and took our time waking through the different setups. I had no idea Ourzazate had so much movie history, definitely would recommend a stop here if you're in the area.
