We spent the first week of 2024 here after a few days in Marrakech.
It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy exploring the Atlas mountains from.
The Capaldi is a small hotel but has large grounds, many different spaces to spend time, which we mostly had to ourselves.
Over a week there we used most of the services - spa, restaurant, pools, garden terraces, library, cinema room... You won't get bored! Best of all for us, was their fabulous guided walks. They are custom to what you want, get you out meeting local people and seeing the spectacular mountain scenery.
The entire staff of the Capaldi are excellent. You aren't fussed over and bothered, but constantly taken care of. This is hard to achieve. Little things like when you sit near an unlit fire on a cool evening, suddenly the fire is lit without you noticing. Preferred drinks are remembered and offered. Activities are organised based on your interests, and any help or advice you need is kindly given with a smile and genuine care.
The Capaldi has a good relationship with local people we spoke to and take their role as a good member of the community.
I look forward to returning and exploring more of this part of the world.

We had the most amazing time at The Capaldi. The staff were extremely attentive. As we arrived two lovely staff members showed us to our beautiful room, which was filled with beautiful little touches which made it feel so unique.

Then we were introduced to the lovely Carole. She then proceeded to give us a tour around the beautiful grounds. (There are so many little snuggle corners and hidden spots that made it feel super special) We instantly felt so welcome.

The food was a real stand out too. Every dish was unbelievable (you have to try the breakfast pancakes!!)

We also used the spa for the stone treatment and the hermmam. All the ladies in the spa were so lovely and again made us feel both so at ease and welcomed.

I would also very much recommend hiking through the Atlas mountain with Leteysha. She is an amazing women and it is a one in a life time experience.

We liked utmost the friendliness of the staff and the owners. It is a very,beautiful, comfortable, clean and spatious hotel. We wanted to seek some tranquility and within the hotel you find different spots in the public areas where you can feel at ease.

My wife and I spent a week at The Capaldi this August. We were after a place to relax and disconnect and it could not have been better. We really enjoyed swimming in the lovely pool and the quiet in the place. We also got an upgrade to our reservation on arrival. The restaurant was top service for all meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner). We are vegetarian/vegan and the chef created a dedicated menu for us that changed every day. The hotel staff went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. Really recommended!

The capaldi hotel…. Were do I start, as soon as we arrived we were asked what drink we would like, our bags were taken and we where shown to our rose petal coverd room. This hotel really is all about the little touches, and impeccable service! We felt tottaly spoilt, welcomed at all time by the friendly and smiley staff and for the varried choice of beautiful tasting meals every single night ! We also had spa treatments, were I have genuinely never felt so relaxed in all my life. From start to finish, staying at the capaldi was an unforgettable experience. I would highly recommend to all.l and I will be back! Thankyou❤

A really truly beautiful place, the staff go above and beyond to make your stay as perfect as possible. Carol in particular was absolutely wonderful! Ed the owner also really lovey. The food was sensational and the location stunning. All the staff I encountered were just totally wonderful.

We stay at the Capaldi often as it is simply the best escape out of Marrakech. Very welcoming staff and excellent levels of comfort and hospitality. The food and beverages are excellent and we firmly recommend staying there to all our friends and guests who adore the situation and the owners Ed and Tara and their two super friendly dogs always provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

This is a fantastic hotel. The best service, rooms, views, facilities, food, drink… It is honestly the most special place and the lovely staff and owners do everything to ensure you have the best stay possible from lighting a fire in your room to preparing your favourite cocktail to baking a loaf of Gluten Free bread. Pure heaven.

We did some lovely treks into the mountains and visited Marrakesh but lovely to return back to the wonderful relaxation of the hotel .

A lovely oasis of a hotel close to the foothills of the Atlas mountains with beautiful grounds and sensational food. We stayed in September and had a wonderful couple of days relaxing and exploring. Definitely try the dune buggy trip they offer - it was one of the highlights of our entire Moroccan trip!

The Capaldi is a beautiful hotel; An Oasis of Peace and Quiet, situated just south of Marrakech. There are 2 pools, one large and one smaller; the former is excellent for a good swim.
The grounds are truly picturesque, with many spots to relax. What is great is the tranquility and serenity of the place; it never appears crowded even when the hotel is full. There is a decent spa. Ed and Tara are brilliant hosts and we look forward to returning asap.

Amazing couple of days at this hotel, really enjoyed our time. Everything was great except for one thing which is why I am writing this review, to advise other future guests— the state of the hammam was appalling to us, see picture attached, which compares photo on hotel website to what we were actually met with for our hammam treatment. We thought we had accidentally been led to a janitors closet. I showed to check out personnel and they didn’t seem to care. So I would not book a hammam treatment here unless you confirm with management it has been cleaned and tidied, with hopefully all plastic items removed. My massage was great though!

Second, reception did not communicate my dietary restrictions to the restaurant although they confirmed via email twice that my restrictions had been noted, so the restaurant was unprepared the first night to accommodate. Nevertheless we received incredible service from Tara who acted as an amazing liaison between kitchen and us to provide outstanding meals that were in accordance to my restrictions.

Review sounds negative because I focused on main concern which is informing future guests about hammam, but truly the rest of the hotel experience was outstanding, a beautiful, serene property to which I most certainly would return. Thank you for everything, Tara especially!

A beautiful hotel to stay in for a relaxing time! Great amenities, including a spa and reading room which we made use of. The food was delicious, with the changing menu each day, and drinks on offer were great! We really enjoyed lounging around the multiple pools and generally taking in the calm of the hotel.

I just returned from The Capaldi and it is truly an exceptional place! Edward and Tara run a beautiful and incredibly personal experience. The rooms and the grounds are stunning and spacious. They're beautifully decorated. The restaurant is excellent and they really go above and beyond - I'm gluten free and they made me gluten free bread once I mentioned it! It is worth noting that there isn't wifi everywhere and there aren't TVs in the rooms - This is intentional and is SUCH a nice benefit. It felt like the first proper holiday I had in a long time because it was peaceful and nice to actually get away from the stresses of a fully-connected life. There's a great cinema with a library of movies to watch, and a spa, which is lovely. Edward and Tara arranged for a guide to take us hiking in the Atlas Mountains and into a Berber village. They clearly have strong relationships with people in the surrounding area - It was really excellent. Thank you so much for a nice holiday - I certainly can't wait to return in the future. :)

We absolutely loved our stay here and will be returning! The grounds were gorgeous and the entire hotel is beautiful. Every one of the staff was friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay great. We ate at the restaurant for every meal and all the food was incredible! The price was amazing and we couldn’t ask for a better stay. Also recommend the camel riding adventure they suggest! Highly recommend!!

Everything was simply perfect and couldn’t recommend The Capaldi high enough. The staff were brilliant, the food was delicious, and the rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean.
We initially booked for one night, but had to extend to 3 nights as it was the most beautiful tranquil escape from the city. The owners, Edward and Tara made our last night extra spatial by organising a secluded romantic dinner outside under the stars, all cosy next to the fireplace. They even let us request our own menu which was superb! My partner is gluten free, and they even went the extra mile to bake him fresh bread and pancakes every morning- wow!!
We will definitely be returning!

Without a doubt, The Capaldi Hotel is a beautiful setting. Both the public areas and the bedroom suites have been designed with care and thought. There are comfortable outdoor areas for relaxation in the sun but the fireplaces in the dining areas and outdoor rooms bring extra charm to staying outdoors in the sunny winter months. The rooms are designed with generous proportions and high spec finishes. The beds and bed linens made for delicious sleep! All of this would mean little though without the impeccable service offered by the owner Ed Lyle and his wonderful staff. From the moment we walked into our rooms and saw the rose petals artfully strewn around the room, we knew they cared. Hussein and all his colleagues at reception were always available, helpful and friendly. They organised our hikes, walks and spa visits even at short request. The dining staff were wonderful also and looked after us well. We also stayed a few days in Marrakech at the Riad Capldi, the sister establishment, and all our transfers to and from the airport and between the properties were seamless. Thank you Capaldi Hotel for the most wonderful memories of Morocco!
