Restaurant Merzouga

It’s nice to feel welcome in a foreign country. A smile and a laugh goes a long way, and the owner has both. The food was delicious and a very well rounded menu which has something for everyone.

We stopped at this place on our way from Fes to Merzhouga.

We were looking for good vegetarian options and found the right one here. The spices were raw and nice. We also ordered vegetarian couscous and it was flavorful. The owners big smile / laughter added to the ambience. He was also kind enough to offer some home made desserts and fresh mint tea for our drive further.

Delicious food, nice traditional atmosphere and very kind and hospitable host. We recommend the stop here on you way through Midelt.

What a lively dining experience! The restaurant owner and the staff are very animated with great laughs and energy.

The Berber pizza (not like an Italian pizza) was quite delicious. It was a flatbread covered in sauce and meat with no cheese. It takes about 20 minutes to wait, but one can enjoy some delicious olives and bread while waiting.

They also have tagine, which is quite good and is prepared much faster. Definitely try their Moroccan mint tea. It's full of flavor and they put on a show while pouring.

At the end of the meal, they graciously provided some nice cookies and extra mint tea for dessert

Found this restaurant on Google on our way from Merzouga to Fes. Wonderful food and service, made the brochette right in front of us on the side walk! The tea at the end was so nice.

Had a lunch break here when on our way from Fez to Merzouga. Very nice owner who did his best to comfort us in any way, even let us park the car in front of the restaurant. Food was nice, service was perfect and quality/price was on point. Would defenitely recommend when on your way to the dessert!

Absolutely lovely place. Really enjoyed the food and the service. The host does speak few European languages and was very friendly and pleasant. We even got traditional Moroccan cookies for the road, and it was delicious! Thank you

The owner of the restaurant is absolutely amazing. We came from Montreal and he was so welcoming. The food was out of this world with perfect service. Highly recommend anyone looking for a place to eat in the area!

Nice place to have dinner and one man loves to be funny and happy. He even gave us a gift of fossils near merzouga. Awesome place to lunch and dinner.

Very tasty food and an amazing atmosphere

OMG. This place should have a Michelin star for its lamb tagine.

For bonus points, the host has perhaps the best laugh ever.

We only stayed an hour but left with a new family.

The people of restaurant Merzouga made us happy with their service, the atmosphere and their excellent food which is great value for money. I ordered their Tajine and it was nicely spiced and full of vegetables. Would recommend this restaurant if you stay over in Midelt.

If you are in town, you must go to this place! The staff are incredible, his laugh is memorable, and the food was delicious (I had the pizza) 😋 Highly recommend!
