Lovely restaurant in the central souk area of medina. The terrace is beautifully illuminated. Menu is reasonable for veggies and better if you eat fish. Service is very good and the prices are below my expectations for this type of place. Feels a bit risky walking back through the souk at night but did it twice and no issues at all.

Lovely restaurant in the city. They had problems with the reservations and ended up sitting us in two tables in the rooftop at night which was cold. But overall, it was a good experience, note you can only get there by walking which I wouldnt say is not safe but you should be careful. When you leave an employee of the restaurant walks you to your transportation.

Good food and service, outdoor seating were nice for drinks. Very enjoyable dinner there, the Fish sauce for Fish Couscous was so delicious. If u like lobster or shrimp soups you have to try it.

One of the best meals we had in Morocco. Fried chicken was very crispy and flavourful, and the vegetable fritters were bursting with flavour. Looking forward to going back and trying their mains.

Awesome atmosphere, the best restaurant I've been so far during my trip in Morocco.

I've ordered a fondouk cocktail to drink and fish couscous as main. I must say it was the best I had so far.

Also the pistachio creme brulee was delicious, highly recommended.

Excellent based on typical Moroccan products (there is also the possibility to choose some other international offerings). All ingredients are very good, excellent and well balanced in flavours. A very private setting, with soft lighting, we had dinner on the terrace and it was romantic and relaxing (actually there was a little wind but nothing too annoying). Accurate, attentive and very professional service. Fun find.

This is a really beautiful restaurant. We went at night and there were candles everywhere! We had a great meal on the rooftop deck. Their menu has 2 sections- Moroccan and international. We had the tomatoes with local goat cheese and Moroccan salads to start with and then had a squid tangia and seafood pastilla. All the dishes had great flavors. They offer French & Moroccan wine and cocktails. If you eat on the rooftop- you may be surrounded by smokers - but the tables are spaced far apart so for us it was not a big issue.

Splendurous location in the heart of the Marrakech Old Town. Magnificent interiors with SOTA decoration. Amazing staff. Beautiful terrace (very well heated too). And a menu that lives up to the glory of its name.

Magnificent restaurant within the Medina of Marrakech, so there is no need for a taxi, as you can walk easily from any riad Locatel in the old town. Food is great, offering a combination of traditional marrocan food and international options. I have always tried the local options and the fish couscous is really good. The restaurant offers a wine and beer and has a lovely interior and a rooftop incredible for a dinner beneath the stars.

Finding the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a traditional Moroccan meal in a contemporary space that remains authentic to its location doesn’t have to be difficult. While in Marrakech, dining at Le Foundouk is necessary, as this restaurant incorporates modern décor and a brilliant atmosphere into a building rich with culture and history.

I was really blown away by how well the owners of the restaurant mixed traditional Moroccan style with upscale dining. I opted for dinner on the first floor, which was lit by candles, and nestled in to a truly unique ambience of relaxation and sensory experiences.

I couldn’t have asked for anything more as far as the service, and all my courses were promptly delivered to my table. I even asked about the building’s history, and was gladly told the story of the old garment factory and merchant’s inn that used to occupy the space.

I ordered from the “International” menu, which pairs flavors from all over the word with traditional Moroccan recipes. I started with delicate beetroot pie, made from pan sired foie gras and arugula. So flavorful and with a hint of bitter tang from the greens, this was truly something different.

For my main I opted for a tagine of Monkfish with preserved lemons, served with basmati rice. Light and citrusy, this dish was excellently seasoned and filling. The rise was delicate and tender, and the fish was some of the best I’ve had.

I finished with dessert of the Chef’s Pastilla with chocolate and a prune, an excellent combination of sweet and tart. I can’t wait to enjoy another meal at Le Foundouk, and highly recommend it.

An amazingly restored foundouk (guest house for a caravan sarai member) turned into a restaurant with food which, although described as variable to me, was excellent when I had it. Nice selection of wines and v desserts, and a lovely bar/smoking area sending you all the way back to a 50's film set!

This restaurant is hidden behind a wooden door. If you don't know what your are searching for you will miss it.

We made a reservation for Sunday evening. There was rain predicted so we were sitted inside (all guest were, they didn't serve outside that evening because of the potential rain). The atmosphere inside is great, cozy vibe, dimmed lights and enough distance between tables so you don't disturb your neighbours with your talk. But close enough to have the feeling it is well filled restaurant. It has different corners and seats to serve different group sizes.

The food was good, we had a nice tasting platter as starter and two tjanines as main. It goes with accompanying bread which is replenished unit you can't eat anymore. Service wad friendly and smooth.

Hidden treasure. Step through the door into two floors of intricate and intimate dining spots plus a roof garden.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Lots of traditional Moroccan dishes. Six people in our party, all enjoyed their selections.
