Beautiful place to stay and delicious breakfast.
The Berber omelette was excellent.

The host was very kind and understanding. He allowed us to check in late at night.
We hiked in the Gorges de Dades with Mohammad and absolutely loved the tour.

Greatly recommended for a stay near the Gorges.

Dar Essalama is the perfect place to stay when you are in this area. The host is super kind! He did a great hike with us (and made Moroccan tea during the hike), he also woke up very early to make breakfast for us. Also the food is very good and the rooms are warm at night. I would really recommend this place :)

This is one of those places where you step inside and go Wow!
Ahmed was the perfect host. We were welcomed into our room with a roaring fire, The room was spacious and immaculate with bags of charm. Our host was lovely, chatty, fun and informative and cooked up a fantastic meal. Even taught us a little Berber

Exceptional service, wonderful breakfast and the most comfortable bed I’ve slept in whilst I’ve been away. The room was stunning, belongs in a magazine - the service was incredibly friendly we arrived late at night and there was no problem having food prepared on our arrival. They catered to vegetarians too. The location is wonderful, you wake up surrounded by cliffs. It’s stunning, couldn’t recommend more!

The hosts are amazing and lovely people.
We spent two nights here, the food was some of the best we found in Morocco, and the place offers a great balance between a typical house from the area and a cozy retreat for tourists.

We also asked one of the hosts (Mohammed aka Moha) to guide us on a tour around the Dades gorges and we spent a lovely day walking in some great, beautiful, and non touristic spots.

Would love to visit again…

We stayed for 2 nights and we can only highly recommend the super good Dar Essalama
The rooms are spacious, clean and friendly
The host is super friendly, a superbe Guide of the surrounding area and a very good chef as well
We would loved to spend some more nights there
We also did a guided tour with the host in the area of the monkey finger canyon, almost 4 hours, we enjoyed every second with him

Great cosy place to stay, Ahmed is the most welcoming, hospitable and enthusiastic host. It’s the perfect stop after a long drive from the desert - very clean, spacious room with a warm bed and a generous and delicious breakfast. Thoughtfully decorated and also has a peaceful terrace to watch sunset and sunrise from. Could not recommend enough, should definitely stay.

I totally recommend this place. We were warmly welcomed by the host and his family. They served very delicious food and overall it was my most authentic stay in Morocco.
The guest room has a stove, which makes it feel like home.

This accommodation was super wow, it's a good spot for visiting the Dadés Gorge and to do some hiking nearby. Lovely decoration, with funny hosts who also gave us good recommendations for very wow hikes nearby.

We had an amazing stay at this charming riad. We were warmingly welcomed by the host and his family who gave us many useful advices and were super kind. The place is very clean and cosy and the food was amazing, from breakfast to dinner. Strongly recommend

A great Riad run by a lovable berber mountain guide Husain and his family. It is set up between mountains and lies next to a river. Everything was perfect, clean room with a fireplace, strong WiFi, great food prepared by hosts daughter and wife. I totally recommend to visit “Dar Essalama”.

sehr zu empfehlen die Unterkunft. Sauber guter Service, sehr vertrauenswürdiger fröhlicher und sympathischer Gastgeber. Vor allem die Touren in die Berge oder die Wüste sind einmalig. wir waren im Dezember 2023 etwa zwölf Tage Gast bei Moha, es war nicht das erste Mal und bestimmt nicht das letzte Mal.

Nous avons passé un séjour magnifique chez Moha. Randonnée de 3h dans les gorges, accompagnée de toute les explications, c’était vraiment génial. Le personnel était au petit soins avec nous, petit feu et bouillotte dans la chambre, nous les recommandons fortement !

Muy buena experiencia. Estancias en muy buenas condiciones, habitacion limpia, amplia y cómoda. Lo mejor de todo el trato, Ahmed te trata como un invitado, no como un huésped más. Cercano, simpático, amable y servicial. La comida también espectacular. Muy recomendable!!
