Stameriena castle

Highly reccomend to visit this castle and spend some time exploring it. Although is may not have retained a lot of authentic and original interior elements, it still has a very good livable feel to it. You can sit down in some of its rooms, enjoy amazing views outside of windows or balconies and explore 70+ rooms.

Renovated but always this beautiful fairytale castle will stay in memory as old one

A beautiful manor with renovated facade and interior that shows a little bit of all the things that happened during its history. A guide can tell about the history of the manor and the people associated with it. Beautiful park and lake nearby.

Fantastic and beautiful place to visit with special atmosphere. 3 eur entrance is like for free for such amazing place! Beautiful park and trails near the palace, also can take 8 km walk around the lake.

It's 19 the century Palace with a vast park. All my family loved this place. The palace has rooms, and there you can see pictures, old furniture. When we finished visiting the castle, we had a walk to the beautiful orthodox church and lunch at Sonate Cafe.

Beautiful palace, renovated from outside. The public path from the train station to the palace goes along the amazing lake.

Very interesting sightseeing place. They recently opened additional rooms for excursions. This palace will be renovated in the nearest future.

Well renovated castle. Kudos to those who worked on the renovation. Ongoing exhibitions inside also added the value of the visit. The wooden staircase still looks grand. Picture worthy castle.

Stāmeriena Palace (Stāmerienas muižas pils) is a palace built in Historicist style from 1835 to 1843 in the historical region of Vidzeme northern Latvia.
Fully restored from outside.

Amazingly good looking mansion-house, castle, big house.... Served for a noble family, but also as a school and the office of a big farm.

Looking at the pictures from before the reconstruction, it is truly amazing what they have done.

On the inside partly a museum and partly just as it was. Including the availability to sit on evey chair, play the piano and so on.

Definitely worth visiting.

I visited the castle while seeing friend in Stameriena. Castle is very nice even though it needs some renovation. Until then it has very authentic feel. However I liked the most the girl who was working there and who was very warm and welcome. She was showing me around the castle and talked about the interesting history. I was very happy that I decided to go to the castle and I will definitely go again when I am nearby.
