Great place to stop by. Dishes were great and staff is friendly. Very nice interior made of woodwork and artifacts of Latvian history.

Gem of region. At first, nothing spoke about this place, but right away inside you feel like visiting cozy country home or grandmom. Food was delicious and not expensive. Recomended!

Best local food place! When driving through this city we always visit this place. Portions are big, prices are good and staff is really friendly. Place has really authentic Latvian countryside feel to it!

Cosy authentic place. Traditional design inside. Very delicious meals for a surprisingly reasonable price! I recommend it to all the travellers.

Бесподобное, уютнейшее придорожное кафе с домашней кухней! Милейшая хозяйка, интерьер - не передать словами, хочется рассматривать и рассматривать, как умело и со вкусом все подобрано! Пока ждёшь заказ, ходишь, как в музее. Жаль, мало походили, заказ быстро принесли. Все просто, вкусно и недорого. Отличное место, всем рекомендую!

Vecumnieki is a village in Vecumnieki Parish, Bauska Municipality in the Semigallia region of Latvia. Vecumnieki is 51 km southeast of Riga city center. The population of Vecumnieki was 2103 as of 2015. The village is just north of the Jelgava-Krustpils railroad. Buses from Riga to Skaistkalne, Ilūkste and Nereta stop at Vecumnieki. Two reservoirs have been created on stream Taļķe - Old Lake and New Lake. source
