Viktor Tsoi Memorial Site

Right at where the tragic accident happened. Which took the life of the Soviet rock star Viktor Tsoi.

You can also drive further up the road at visit the lake (more like a big fishing pond) where he fished before the accident.

I’d imagine that most people who come here has their own story about how Viktor Tsoi influenced their lives.

When I was there, I saw the influence of Tsoi’s music on the generation of the past.
I met a family of 3 generations, they came in a family van.

It very much seemed like visiting here was the the old man’s wish. An old woman, standing by his side, wrapping her arm on his, supporting him.

Followed by a younger couple, and a baby in the young mother’s arms. An entire family was there. It was quite touching.

I saw the influence of Tsoi on the younger generations, there were a young couple who came and paid their respect. They came in a 2 door Audi sport car.

There are volunteers who come here and clean up the place, perhaps also light up a candle and put some flowers in front of the statue.
So if you are visiting there, why not do the same?

You can come here by car, and just park it on the side of the road. It’s fine.

Legends come and go, Viktor Tsoi was one of those people who left a huge impact in the society, and then left it.
But to the real fans of him and the band Kino, Viktor Tsoi will always live in our hearts.

Have not visited it at the time of writing, but having known people who did, it's on my bucket list. KINO's and Viktor Tsoi's music have pulled me through a lot of bad times. One of these days I want to personally put down flowers of some kind at this beautiful memorial. I've seen plenty of videos, and I do recommend visiting it in person if you can!

I had been thinking of visiting this sad place for many years. This is where the star named the Sun will shine forever for all of us, who will always remember Victor Tsoy and his neverdying songs. He was not just a musician. He was, and will always be, the symbol of a whole generation - me, you and all of us...

The place could be easily found although there are no sign along the road. Territory is well kept and convenient, there is an information stand and a beautiful monument
