Maras muiža

Ilga & Werner are the warmest most welcoming hosts you could possibly ask for. The house dates back to the 1500’s & they have kept it in the old style. It is simple but beautiful. We had the apartment which suited our party of 4 very well. The bathroom was superb, it had a nice big living room & a kitchen with table & plenty of cooking facilities. The views are so pretty over the gorgeous garden. Breakfast was delicious and served in the most gorgeous dining room. Plenty of choices & many things picked from their garden. We requested a special dinner on our last night & Ilga cooked us the most delicious 3 course meal (at a very inexpensive cost) served in the dining room, we had drinks on the terrace beforehand & our friend played their guitar later in the evening, a magical night!
Ilga is also a qualified tour guide & took us on a fantastic & informative tour of Kuldiga, which is a beautiful town.
Although a little way out of Kuldīga, it is so worth it if you enjoy a step back in time with incredible hosts. We arrived as guests & left as friends! One of the highlights of our Baltic trip.

A beautiful place to stay, lovely owners. Surrounded by nature, interesting history. Rooms are comfortable and tidy, a quiet place. Terrace is amazing during summer.

Wunderschön hergerichtetes Gutshaus, herzliche Besitzer, absolut ruhige Lage, gemütliche Zimmer, sauber und liebevoll einrichtet. Das Essen perfekt, es sind keine Wünsche offen! Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.
Auch die Stadtführung mit Ilga durch Kuldiga war perfekt. Vielen lieben Dank für alles. Wir wünschen immer liebe, nette Gäste. ❣

Eine Unterkunft wie aus einem Märchen vergangener Zeiten. Liebevoll eingerichtet und eine sehr herzliche Gastgeberin. Eine wahre Perle zum entspannen und relaxen. Das 3. Gang Menü und auch das Frühstück waren ein Traum . Gerne empfehlen wir das tolle Anwesen weiter.

Traumhafte Ruhe in ländlicher Umgebung. Große und saubere Zimmer. Herzliche Inhaber, die dieses Haus mit viel Herzblut und Leidenschaft führen. Man spürt in jeder Ecke Geschichte und lauscht gern den Erzählungen!

Die Gastgeber sind ausgesprochen herzlich und lesen den Gästen jeden Wunsch von den Augen ab. Durch gemeinsames Interesse an der lettischen Geschichte kamen wir schnell ins Gespräch und es wurden kurzweilige Abende. Das Landhaus ist ein Ort der Erholung.

Interesanta muiža un tikpat interesanta, galanta saimniece kura aizrautīgi stāsta par šis muižas vēsturi. Varbūt varētu teikt ka ceļš līdz muižai nav ideāls, bet tas nebojā kopējo iespaidu. Var izmantot kā viesnīcu, bet mēs neizmantojam, tāpēc par to spriest nevaru.

Lieliska vieta. Burvīga saimniece. Skaists interjers. Aizraujošs stāsts par muižas atjaunošanu. Tik neuzzināju vai Maras muižais ir savs spoks... 😊
