Here you can get classical local “karbonade” with different toppings.
They are very good and quite large. 1/2 portion is deffinately enoug. 😉

Pansija is really good. More like a 4.5 star place. The prices are amazing (€5 for a big pork dish). I had Solyanka soup, potato pancakes and boiled tongue salad. All were incredibly tasty and local Latvian food too. The service is quick and tucked away from the main tourist areas. Definitely worth the drive into the forest.

Yes, recommend to visit, recommend to wait the long queues, recommend to take any dish from the menu. Quite big portions, dont recommend to take two dishes in one go.

I went there 4 times in 2 week period. Every time ordered something different. Everything was delicious. Half portion was too big for me. I cant imagine eating full one. I suggest to try potato pancakes with salmon. They are nice. Unfortunately didn't take any pictures. Definitely will return when i will visit Latvia again..

Absolutely amazing food. Easily in my top 10 if not top 3.
In this restaurant you have the choice of a full or half portion. If you want to take food home or share with 1 or 2 people, then take the full one. Price to Quantity of food ir really great. That's why don't plan a lot of physical activities after eating.

Best restaurant that I know of.Delicious food, big portions, nice service and not expensive at all for the amount of food on the plate. If you take the half plate you will be full but if like my dad you take the big plate wouldn't be suprised if you'll feel the se as my dad as he said"my stomach hurts and my ribs hurt aswell " ,"I can't draw air in to my lungs". But a lovely and beautiful place we for sure will return here. (Been here for the 3rd time now)

Big tasty meals for good price. Children playground next to it is good bonus.
