STRAUSS un KAZA

It was a very good solution to turn off the road to Kuldiga and to visit this restaurant. The experience exceeded the expectations.
The food (ostrich meat tartar and goat leg) was excellent. The meat is from the host farm. There could be only more vegetables to the goat leg :)
The service was very professional and friendly. We also got some tips what to do in Kuldiga :)
Also we were on a farm tour (the price - 5 euros per person). The tour was led by the owner himself. Was a lot of fun, a lot of good emotions and new knowledge.
We would like to come back :)

It is a really pleasant surprise to see a place this great to develop quite far off in the Latvian countryside… Always use the opportunity to visit the actual ostrich and goat farm next to restaurant where everything is grown locally. Kudos to the chef (owner of the place) for great performance!!!

Great farm to visit.
Excellent owner and host, Delicious food and great selection of local fruit based aperitifs. In the winter roads are cleaned up to the farm, so very safe to drive.

Great experience, super friendly and nice owner. Everything is very clean and nice, plenty of animals and high quality interesting food. The road towards the farm is realy bad but it's totaly worth the experience! Definetely comming back.

Amazing place! If you are tired to work, because of covid, or anything else. Even if you lost a sense to live, please, visit the place.

Coazy place with very lovely waitresses and the atmosphere is very pleasing.
Food is a delicacy because ostriches aren't very common in Latvia and their meat is very unique - less cholesterol and more iron so that's the nutrition fact.
Also the goat meat is prepared with care and steak is very good!
All kinds of beverages and sweets.
The farm offers a tourism around the land - you can meet ostriches and goats themselves.

Amazing experience. Food was delicious, local and with exhalent presentation. Hosts were welcoming and you can buy also locally produced products.

Very tasty food. Worth visiting if you wanna try some ostriches food. Not worth going if you go only to see ostriches, as tour is just so-so.

Very pleasant atmosphere and a beautiful farm where you can touch ostriches and goats. The restaurant has very tasty dishes!

It is good to see, feel and exprience the ideas and development of a local business in a countryside. The territory is rather compact, interesting narrative of a tour guide. You can explore the breeding of ostrichs and goats and have a tasty meal from local ingredients at the restaurant afterwards.

Worth visiting, specially with kids, who can enjoy the company of animals, feed and caress them.

The only suggestion for the future is to think about using self-baked bread instead of industrial for the burger as it slightly lowers the score.

I arrived here with my girlfriend and her parents. The farm was lovely and seeing the ostriches, goats and cats was a really fun experience.
The woman who took us around was kind and friendly and told us a lot about how the ostriches and goats are raised, their feeding habits, and allowed us to pet them.

Would highly recommend as a great place to visit. Many thanks again. :)
