It's no longer looking like a castle but it's still a beautiful place even it was ruined during time. Locals tried to reserve or at least keeping it standing there by putting more bricks into the foundation.

Amazing place to relax, clean and quiet and only 10 min drive from Liepaja. Can also walk or cycle to this wonderful place from Liepaja.

Lovely place to go with family had nice long walk throught nature . This is the best time to go in spring most of the trees was blooming and nature is stunning at the moment. loading up loads of good energy.

Parking nearby. Disable person parking. WC, WC for disabled persons with elevator table. Old castle fortress renovated with sight seeing place, nice walkways, terrace and seats nearby. Old Kurland Viking spot Seeburg. River Aland nearby. Nice hiking and velo route. Kafeterias close, centrum.

Children loved exploring the castle ruins! And there's a nice little sidewalk along the lake. The playground beside the castle ruins is designed for older kids.

really pretty! has a fun part for 6-17 year olds. The castle is super pretty aswell.

Town in Latvia

Grobiņa is a town in South Kurzeme Municipality in the Courland region of Latvia, eleven kilometers east of Liepāja. It was founded by the Teutonic Knights in the 13th century. Some ruins of their Grobina castle are still visible. The town was given its charter in 1695. source
