I recently visited Blackpool Coffee Bungalow in Nuwara Eliya and had a fantastic experience learning about ethical coffee production. The owner, Asitha, was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about coffee and taught us everything we needed to know about the coffee-making process. I appreciated the emphasis on ethical coffee, and it was great to see firsthand the care and attention that goes into producing high-quality coffee beans.

The highlight of my visit was definitely the freshly brewed coffee. The aroma alone was enough to make my mouth water, and the taste did not disappoint. It was hands down some of the best coffee I've ever had.

Overall, I highly recommend Blackpool Coffee Bungalow to anyone interested in learning about ethical coffee production and trying some delicious coffee. Asitha and his team were welcoming, friendly, and truly passionate about what they do. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Nuwara Eliya.

It was an unexpected fortune to discover Blackpool Coffee Bungalow in Sri Lanka, which was known as the country of tea.
The moment we smelled the fresh roasted coffee aroma, we were intoxicated with the new flavor. Arrived by tuk-tuk from downtown Nuwara Eliya was running a coffee farm, and Asitha, who had a charming appearance, gave a briefing about the history of Sri Lanka coffee, types of coffee, and the unique taste of this shop, so it felt like a tour of a new restaurant.

Amaging, even deliver...

Coffee here in Nuwara Eliya has become a new source of energy for us, exhausted from the heavy rain and cold. See you soon.

Our journey has led us to Asitha (Blackpool Coffee) by chance. We love good, high-quality coffee and, as Italians, live the coffee culture wholeheartedly. Coffee is a great passion for us, so on our travels around the world we are always on the lookout for fairly grown coffee and special roasters, as well as the people who are passionate about it. It was great fun exchanging ideas with Asitha, getting some new information, getting ideas and talking about them, learning more about the background of the roastery/cultivation/the idea of the whole/the brand/visions of the future, historical background to listen and just have a great time in a very relaxed and special environment. It's hard to put into words this special morning/half afternoon. :) Not only did we have good conversations, we also enjoyed several cups of the excellent, fairly produced coffee. The coffee was an experience for all the senses. Asitha's grandfather's house is a place full of history, a passion for coffee, a place where the idea took shape, where we tinkered for 7 years to be able to bring special and high-quality coffee to the market. We got also the chance to taste Cascara tea made of coffee cherries which was very tasty (we tasted it first time in Mexico) and got also the chance to visit the place were soon the new roastery is opening. We warmly recommend visiting Asitha. :)
