This is a Catholic Church and belongs to the Roman
Catholic Diocese of Chilaw in Sri Lanka. As of now, there is no resident priest at this location as it is a sub Community of the Bolawaththa parish, where the priest in charge stays. Beautiful church and nice community of believers. Kammala Catholic community has a long history. They have welcomed and cared for St. Joseph Vaz during his mission here in Sri Lanka and the fact is often recalled in honor of the community.
