I came here 3 nights in a row for dinner because I just couldn't see how it could get better than this. I had the vegan curry set twice which I deffo recommend, it was an amazing mix of flavours. The staff are really welcoming and very smiley 😊😊

May be the best food I’ve ever had- no lie. My friends and I ordered a variety, which was all fantastic! But the star of the show was the fried shrimp with delicious sauce. It was a dazzling dish of beautiful flavors to delight the palate. I cannot recommend enough. 15/10 would eat again.

We just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place. Healthy organic restaurant right in Hikkaduwa, cannot ask for more. This place is amazing, they put so much care in every preparation. You can find vegan & vegetarian choices such as Ayurvedic soups, or a special plate with lentils, rice, aubergines and vegetable curry; rotti/naan; tasty papadam with mango sauce; but also fresh fish and meat. Nice drinks like mango lassi, ginger tea, smoothies and lime soda. Clean and tasty this is just the perfect spot in the island, quality at cheap prices! Thanks 🙏🏼

Best food I’ve had in Sri Lanka!! And I’ve been here a month😃 Amazing gem of a place, the owners are so thoughtful and kind, the food is amazing (makes sense when the food is cooked by someone who sailed the world as a chef for 30 years!), the place is clean and the price is great. Plenty of vegan and vegetarian options🙏🏼 The aubergine curry is to die for! I even went back for a takeaway before leaving Hikkaduwa! Thank you!

The devilled dish is AMAZING, it was my first and only time finding a vegan one In Sri Lanka and It truly was amazing. Also, PANCAKES. Again very good, dreaming of this place again as I write this review a week later....

First of all: Sri Lanka in late 2021 isn't the country we got to know in 2016. You can feel and see the damages COVID did to the situation of the Sri Lankan people especially to the tourism sector.
A lot of the recommended places are closed or gone forever.

So we were lucky to find this place just opened although the chances of getting some customers were pretty bad. The restaurant was clean and inviting. The staff was extraordinary friendly and competent to deal with our requests. The menu is definitely big enough to fit most customers.

We had a really flavorful Sri Lankan rice & curry: pumpkin curry, dhal curry, fried eggplant, coconut sambal and mango chutney with rice and papadam. Great value for money. We also tried our first wood apple juice. The chef mixed the fruit with coconut milk, vanilla and sugar. An extraordinary taste!

Last but not least: they're doing the environment a favor and using metal straws ;)

Great tasting healthy curries. Not overpowered with chilli, instead an interesting use of other spices. Highly recommended for vegetarians/vegans visiting Hikaduwa.

Amazing food!! Serve non veg and veg and Vegan food. The whole meal set is so soooo good. Best pumpkin curry I ever had! I wish u had the chance to try their vegan pancakes, next time! The place is clean and atmosphere nice. A must try in Hikkaduwa!

Had a lovely dinner here at Aroma, ordered vegetable rice, starter and garlic naan with curry, banana lassi. Everything delicious and honest price. Totally recommend ☺

We stumbled upon Aroma late at night looking for somewhere new to eat. I honestly wish we found Aroma before! We chose a shrimp naan & chicken curry, and both were fantastic. The staff is friendly and quick, the price is very good. I'd also like to say that the menu and interior of Aroma deserve credit. It has a beautiful look where you see the love for food in every detail. I'd highly recommend going if you're near! I know I will😁 (I forgot to make a photo of the food, but the shrimp naan was also looking magnificent. I do have a photo of the awesome chalk art in the restaurant - enjoy!)

Delicious food, friendly service and cozy, well decorated interior. There you can get vegan options as well. They have the best vegetarian rice and curry for sure :)

We visited this place with a group of 8 and had a great experience. The food was very delicious, by far the best sea food platter I had in Hikkaduwa and also the vegetarian dishes tasted really good. All dishes were served at the same time, the staff was friendly and considered our special requests for seating and food. Ambience in ground level area is cozy even though restaurant is facing the street. Clear recommendation, would visit again!
