The Southern Heritage

We spent Christmas 2020 at Southern Heritage and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It’s very new and the rooms are so cosy and very nicely done. We booked the whole villa and our family absolutely enjoyed our stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful so that was very welcoming as well. For us however, we were really impressed by how accommodating and available the owner was to promptly provide whatever we needed and to ensure our stay was a great one despite him not being in Sri Lanka. Overall, a superb stay and we highly recommend Southern Heritage if you are looking for a getaway with friends or family.

This place was amazing, we were a group of 6 adults and 4 children. It was great we could stay together in one villa and have a good time catching up and enjoying amazing food cooked by the in-house cook while relaxing by the swimming pool. Rooms were clean and nicely presented. It was only 5 mins walk to the beach and was easily accessible. We all had a great time and thank you to Southern Heritage for hosting us. We definitely recommend to families who want to have good time and enjoy your holiday with a peace of mind.

I highly reccomend to stay on Southern Heritage villa for a short or long period as we are. Nice location, near the beach, villa has everytging for life: kitchen with all needed dishes, even with blender, aerogrill, and dishwasher. Internet, good pool, washing machine. But the main is the best team and owner, that makes your life and vacation more comfortable.

Located near the ocean, few minutes walk to one of the famous beach fronts, a perfect location. The Southern Heritage provides top of the line service and great hospitality. The staff is very helpful, knowledgeable and courteous. It provides modern and very comfortable rooms for a goodnight sleep or just a afternoon nap, rooms are very spacious and clean and neatly groomed bathrooms are welcoming. Lobby always accompanied by a pleasant staff day or night and the swimming pool is just perfect for a well relaxing evening or for a wonderful family getaway. This place is very much family friendly and affordable.
Our overall experience was an amazing. We will recommend The Southern Heritage to anyone in a heartbeat. A perfect weekend getaway!!

I really enjoyed my stay at Southern Heritage. My room was spacious and comfortable. The rooms all face the pool and there are plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas for relaxing . It is very well located for attractions and the many beaches nearby such as Unawatuna and Thalpe beach . Ideal for couples and families. I look forward to returning in the future

Visited Southern Heritage Thalpe Hotel during New year's eve with my family.. awesome place to be.. simple n quite..but warm in atmosphere with the french style design of the property. Marvelous setup to allow the family to relax. Friendly staff made us feel at home. The pool was an added bonus for the price we paid. Rooms were well cleaned and set up to a high standard. Distance to the beach was less than 5 mins walk and easy access to other local amenities as well.Meals we ordered were very tasty and we really enjoyed our stay at Southern Heritage Thalpe. Thank you Southern Heritage for having us and for your great hospitality. We highly recommend Southern Heritage for family holidays closer to Galle Area.

It was a wonderful 2 days stay at your premises and loved every bit of it. Loved the ambiance and privacy. Staff is super friendly and supportive as well. Stayed at the hotel before the lock down.
Absolutely beautiful hotel as you walk in. Has an authentic Sri Lankan feel to it. Room was very spacious. Hotel has a large swimming pool and a bar area. Leisure facilities also included in the room price. Room service was fantastic. To top it all up service was fantastically amazing. We would definitely come back to this hotel when the lock down is lifted again.

They stay was really nice! The whole accommodation is nice - especially the rooms had really good beds.
The staff cleaned the rooms once a week and it was very clean!
The kitchen is very large and well equipped.
Stayed there for four weeks and it was good for working online.

I'm really happy on my last weekend at The Souther Heritage.
My Family and Friends enjoyed very well and specially kids are played everywhere at the hotel.
The swming pool was very safty for kids and maintained very well.
The rooms also good and cleaned very well.
And also the hotel staff very friendly and every time they serve what we want.
In the evening we enjoyed at the beach and take a sea bath its very close to the hotel.

We had a wonderful stay. We were a group of 4 digital nomads and lived here for 1 month. The accommodation was always very clean. The staff was friendly and everything was always resolved quickly. The wifi has worked well for us as digital nomads for sri lanka standards we had good wifi.

Best villa ever! We spent there 3 weeks with my 8 friends, the service was great, the cleaning was very good, the host was always available! Thank you so much for every emotion we got while living there!

Visited during April 10th to 12th 2021 for 2 nights and place was way better than we expected specially the location..Southern Heritage is located so close to beautiful thalpe beach which takes only few steps to experience a less crowded swimmable beach..If you walk little further you also can explore the famous thalpe natural pools as well.. The place itself is well maintained and all 5 rooms has hot water which you don't see very often in most of the villa type accommodation. It also has a fully equipped kitchen.. it even includes an airfryer so don't bother frying chips using oil.. I love these kinda fully equipped kitchens at places where there's self catering option. All rooms were clean with quality bed linens and pillows..Also all 5 rooms has attached bathrooms with noodle showers..Sampath (Host) was very efficient and flexible during the booking process even though he lives in United Kingdom...Finally I must say Southern Heritage is a must visit place if you are planning to visit south Coast...Hopefully I'll be there soon again for another unforgettable stay..

Fresh and brand new accommodation. Great place to stay in Talpe. Everything was just perfect with clean rooms. Just a small walk from one of the best beaches in sri lanka. Highly recommended for family and friends..
